Especially, whole-body imaging at 7 T and higher is therefore challenging. Recently, an acquisition scheme called time-interleaved acquisition of modes has been proposed to tackle the inhomogeneity problems in high-field MRI. The basic premise is to excite two (or more) different Burn:x-wiley:07403194:media:MRM23081:tex2gif-stack-1 modes using static radiofrequency shimming in an interleaved acquisition, where the complementary radiofrequency patterns of the two modes can be exploited to improve overall signal homogeneity. In this work, the impact of time-interleaved acquisition of mode on image contrast as well as on time-averaged specific absorption rate is addressed in detail. Time-interleaved acquisition of mode is superior in Burn:x-wiley:07403194:media:MRM23081:tex2gif-stack-2 homogeneity compared with conventional radiofrequency shimming while being highly specific absorption rate efficient. Time-interleaved acquisition of modes can enable almost homogeneous high-field imaging throughout the entire field of view in PD, T2, and T2*-weighted imaging and, if a specified homogeneity criterion is met, in T1-weighted imaging as well.}, language = {en} } @article{GeierLehnertzBialonski2015, author = {Geier, Christian and Lehnertz, Klaus and Bialonski, Stephan}, title = {Time-dependent degree-degree correlations in epileptic brain networks: from assortative to dissortative mixing}, series = {Frontiers in Human Neuroscience}, journal = {Frontiers in Human Neuroscience}, publisher = {Frontiers Research Foundation}, address = {Lausanne}, issn = {1662-5161}, doi = {10.3389/fnhum.2015.00462}, year = {2015}, language = {en} } @article{Dikta2006, author = {Dikta, Gerhard}, title = {Time series methods to forecast patent filings}, series = {Forecasting innovations : methods for predicting numbers of patent filings ; with 71 tables / Peter Hingley ; Marc Nicolas (ed.),}, journal = {Forecasting innovations : methods for predicting numbers of patent filings ; with 71 tables / Peter Hingley ; Marc Nicolas (ed.),}, publisher = {Springer}, address = {Berlin [u.a.]}, isbn = {978-3-540-35991-3}, doi = {10.1007/3-540-35992-3_6}, pages = {95 -- 124}, year = {2006}, language = {en} } @article{KallweitKaminskyRossietal.2005, author = {Kallweit, Stephan and Kaminsky, R. and Rossi, M. and Morbiducci, U.}, title = {Time resolved PIV technique for high temporal resolution measurements of prosthetic heart valves fluid dynamics / Kaminsky, R. ; Rossi, M. ; Morbiducci, U. ; Scalise, L. ; Catellini, P. ; Kallweit, S. ; Verdonck, P. ; Grigioni, M.}, series = {The International Journal of Artificial Organs. 28 (2005), H. 9}, journal = {The International Journal of Artificial Organs. 28 (2005), H. 9}, isbn = {1724-6040}, pages = {946}, year = {2005}, language = {en} } @article{KallweitVanlanduitVanherzeeleetal.2007, author = {Kallweit, Stephan and Vanlanduit, S. and Vanherzeele, J. and Brouns, M.}, title = {Time resolved PIV reconstruction of periodic flows / Vanlanduit, S. ; Vanherzeele, J. ; Kallweit, S. ; Brouns, M. ; Guillaume, P.}, series = {PIV'07, 7th International Symposium on Particle Image Velocimetry, Roma, IT, Sep 11-14, 2007}, journal = {PIV'07, 7th International Symposium on Particle Image Velocimetry, Roma, IT, Sep 11-14, 2007}, pages = {1 -- 14}, year = {2007}, language = {en} } @article{Kern1989, author = {Kern, Alexander}, title = {Time dependent temperature distribution in metal sheets caused by direct lightning strikes}, series = {Proceedings / Sixth International Symposium on High Voltage Engineering : 28. The most widely used frameworks of common reference are the Bloom's Taxonomy and the Revised Bloom's Taxonomy. The latter provides distinction of 209 different teaching goals which are connected to methods. In Competence Developing Games (CDGs - serious games to convey knowledge) and in IT security education, a two- or three level typology exists, reducing possible learning outcomes to awareness, training, and education. This study explores whether this much simpler framework succeeds in achieving the same range of learning outcomes. Method wise a keyword analysis was conducted. The results were threefold: 1. The words used to describe teaching goals in CDGs on IT security education do not reflect the whole range of learning outcomes. 2. The word choice is nevertheless different from common language, indicating an intentional use of language. 3. IT security CDGs use different sets of terms to describe learning outcomes, depending on whether they are awareness, training, or education games. The interpretation of the findings is that the reduction to just three types of CDGs reduces the capacity to communicate and think about learning outcomes and consequently reduces the outcomes that are intentionally achieved.}, language = {en} } @article{BalewskiBrauksiepeHardt1997, author = {Balewski, J. and Brauksiepe, S. and Hardt, Arno}, title = {Threshold measurements at the internal experimental facility COSY-11 / J. The experimental results from Hb solutions revealed a direct correlation between protein resilience, melting temperature and average body temperature of the different species on the 0.1 ns time scale. Molecular forces appeared to be adapted to permit conformational fluctuations with a root mean square displacement close to 1.2 {\AA} at the corresponding average body temperature of the endotherms. Strong forces within crocodile Hb maintain the amplitudes of motion within a narrow limit over the entire temperature range in which the animal lives. In fully hydrated powder samples of human and chicken, Hb mean square displacements and effective force constants on the 1 ns time scale showed no differences over the whole temperature range from 10 to 300 K, in contrast to the solution case. A complementary result of the study, therefore, is that one hydration layer is not sufficient to activate all conformational fluctuations of Hb in the pico- to nanosecond time scale which might be relevant for biological function. Coarse-grained Brownian dynamics simulations permitted to explore residue-specific effects. They indicated that temperature sensing of human and chicken Hb occurs mainly at residues lining internal cavities in the β-subunits.}, language = {en} } @article{FoersterReschScholz1993, author = {F{\"o}rster, Arnold and Resch, U. and Scholz, S. The technology is currently under development. This paper presents the results of the thermal property measurements performed on additive manufactured ITS breadboards. Within the breadboard campaigns key characteristics of the additive manufactured specimens were derived: Mechanical parameters: specimen impermeability, minimum wall thickness, lattice structure, subsequent heat treatment. Thermal properties: thermo-optical surface properties of the additive manufactured raw material, thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity measurements. As a conclusion the paper introduces an overview of potential ITS hardware applications, expected to increase the thermal performance.}, language = {en} } @article{DoeringKendrickLawson2013, author = {D{\"o}ring, Bernd and Kendrick, C. and Lawson, R.
