Currently the ongoing research process targets flexible fuel operation with hydrogen and syngas fuel. The non-premixed combustion process features jet-in-crossflow-mixing of fuel and oxidizer and combustion through multiple miniaturized flames. The miniaturization of the flames leads to a significant reduction of NOx emissions due to the very short residence time of reactants in the flame. The paper presents the results of a numerical and experimental combustor test campaign. It is conducted as part of an integration study for a dual-fuel (H2 and H2/CO 90/10 Vol.\%) Micromix combustion chamber prototype for application under full scale, pressurized gas turbine conditions in the auxiliary power unit Honeywell Garrett GTCP 36-300. In the presented experimental studies, the integration-optimized dual-fuel Micromix combustor geometry is tested at atmospheric pressure over a range of gas turbine operating conditions with hydrogen and syngas fuel. The experimental investigations are supported by numerical combustion and flow simulations. For validation, the results of experimental exhaust gas analyses are applied. Despite the significantly differing fuel characteristics between pure hydrogen and hydrogen-rich syngas the evaluated dual-fuel Micromix prototype shows a significant low NOx performance and high combustion efficiency. The combustor features an increased energy density that benefits manufacturing complexity and costs.}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{StrieganHajAyedFunkeetal.2017, author = {Striegan, C. and Haj Ayed, A. and Funke, Harald and Loechle, S. and Kazari, M. and Horikawa, A. and Okada, K. and Koga, K.}, title = {Numerical combustion and heat transfer simulations and validation for a hydrogen fueled "micromix" test combustor in industrial gas turbine applications}, series = {Proceedings of the ASME Turbo Expo}, booktitle = {Proceedings of the ASME Turbo Expo}, number = {Volume Part F130041-4B, 2017}, isbn = {978-079185085-5}, doi = {10.1115/GT2017-64719}, year = {2017}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{ValeroBungErpicumetal.2017, author = {Valero, Daniel and Bung, Daniel Bernhard and Erpicum, Sebastien and Dewals, Benjamin}, title = {Numerical study of turbulent oscillations around a cylinder: RANS capabilities and sensitivity analysis}, series = {Proceedings of the 37th IAHR World Congress August 13 - 18, 2017, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia}, booktitle = {Proceedings of the 37th IAHR World Congress August 13 - 18, 2017, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia}, issn = {2521-716X}, pages = {3126 -- 3135}, year = {2017}, language = {en} } @article{BaringhausGaigall2017, author = {Baringhaus, Ludwig and Gaigall, Daniel}, title = {On Hotelling's T² test in a special paired sample case}, series = {Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods}, volume = {48}, journal = {Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods}, number = {2}, publisher = {Taylor \& Francis}, address = {London}, issn = {1532-415X}, doi = {10.1080/03610926.2017.1408828}, pages = {257 -- 267}, year = {2017}, abstract = {In a special paired sample case, Hotelling's T² test based on the differences of the paired random vectors is the likelihood ratio test for testing the hypothesis that the paired random vectors have the same mean; with respect to a special group of affine linear transformations it is the uniformly most powerful invariant test for the general alternative of a difference in mean. In this work, an amperometric biosensor array for simultaneous determination of ethanol, formate, d- and l-lactate is presented. Enzyme immobilization on platinum thin-film electrodes was realized by chemical cross-linking with glutaraldehyde. The optimization of the sensor performance was investigated with regard to enzyme loading, glutaraldehyde concentration, pH, cofactor concentration and temperature. Under optimal working conditions (potassium phosphate buffer with pH 7.5, 2.5 mmol L-1 NAD+, 2.0 mmol L-1 ferricyanide, 25 °C and 0.4\% glutaraldehyde) the linear working range and sensitivity of the four sensor elements was improved. Simultaneous and cross-talk free measurements of four different metabolic parameters were performed successfully. The reliable analytical performance of the biosensor array was demonstrated by application in a clarified sample of inoculum sludge. Thereby, a promising approach for on-site monitoring of fermentation processes is provided.}, language = {en} } @incollection{Butenweg2017, author = {Butenweg, Christoph}, title = {Passt, wackelt und hat Luft: Mauerwerksbauten aus Leichtbeton in Erdbebengebieten}, series = {Beton-Bauteile, 65.
