The layer-wise manufacturing nature of AM enables fabrication of freeform geometries which cannot be fabricated using conventional manufacturing methods as a one part. Depending on how each layer is created and bonded to the adjacent layers, different AM methods have been developed. In this chapter, the basic terms, common materials, and different methods of AM are described, and their potential applications are discussed.}, language = {en} } @incollection{GebhardtHoetter2019, author = {Gebhardt, Andreas and Hoetter, Jan-Steffen}, title = {Rapid Tooling}, series = {CIRP Encyclopedia of Production Engineering}, booktitle = {CIRP Encyclopedia of Production Engineering}, publisher = {Springer}, address = {Berlin, Heidelberg}, isbn = {978-3-662-53120-4}, doi = {10.1007/978-3-662-53120-4}, pages = {39 -- 52}, year = {2019}, language = {en} } @incollection{Blome2013, author = {Blome, Hans-Joachim}, title = {Die Tragweite der physikalischen Kosmologie}, series = {Exploring Uncertainty}, booktitle = {Exploring Uncertainty}, publisher = {Springer Gabler}, address = {Wiesbaden}, isbn = {978-3-658-00897-0}, doi = {10.1007/978-3-658-00897-0_6}, pages = {105 -- 150}, year = {2013}, language = {de} } @incollection{AbelBoninAlbrachtetal.2015, author = {Abel, Thomas and Bonin, Dominik and Albracht, Kirsten and Zeller, Sebastian and Burkett, Brendan}, title = {Kinematische Untersuchung der Kurbelbewegung im Handcycling: Entwicklung einer sportartspezifischen Methode}, series = {Behindertensport 1951-2011 : Historische und aktuelle Aspekte im nationalen und internationalen Dialog}, booktitle = {Behindertensport 1951-2011 : Historische und aktuelle Aspekte im nationalen und internationalen Dialog}, publisher = {Meyer \& Meyer}, address = {Aachen}, isbn = {9783898997249}, pages = {82 -- 91}, year = {2015}, language = {de} } @incollection{SchulteZurhausen2016, author = {Schulte-Zurhausen, Manfred}, title = {Systemisches Management von Organisationsprojekten}, series = {Projekte systemisch managen! However, integrating different methods still poses considerable challenges. To move beyond general recommendations for mixed-methods research, this chapter proposes to discuss methodological issues with respect to a particular research domain. Taking current studies on the transition to higher education as an example, the authors first provide an overview of the potentials and limitations of quantitative and qualitative methods in the research domain. Second, they show the need for a conceptual framework grounded in the theory of the research object to guide the integration of different methods and findings. Finally, an example study that investigates transition with regard to the interplay of the individual student and the institutional context serves to illustrate the guiding role of theory. The framework integrates different theoretical perspectives on transition, informs the selection of the research methods, and defines the nexus of the two strands that constitute the mixed-methods design. As the interplay of individual and context is of concern for teaching and learning in general, the example presented may be fruitful for the wider field of higher education research.}, language = {en} } @incollection{PielenRoethFlatten2018, author = {Pielen, Michael and R{\"o}th, Thilo and Flatten, T.}, title = {Erfolgsfaktoren k{\"u}nftiger Gesch{\"a}ftsmodelle von urbanen, geteilten Mobilit{\"a}tsdienstleistungen}, series = {Mobilit{\"a}t und digitale Transformation.
