Commonly, different sensors are integrated into work environments to track workers' actions. Game elements are selected according to the work task and users' preferences. However, implementing gamified workplaces remains challenging as different data sources must be established, evaluated, and connected. Developers often require information from several areas of the companies to offer meaningful gamification strategies for their employees. Moreover, work environments and the associated support systems are usually not flexible enough to adapt to personal needs. Digital twins are one primary possibility to create a uniform data approach that can provide semantic information to gamification applications. Frequently, several digital twins have to interact with each other to provide information about the workplace, the manufacturing process, and the knowledge of the employees. This research aims to create an overview of existing digital twin approaches for digital support systems and presents a concept to use digital twins for gamified support and training systems. The concept is based upon the Reference Architecture Industry 4.0 (RAMI 4.0) and includes information about the whole life cycle of the assets. It is applied to an existing gamified training system and evaluated in the Industry 4.0 model factory by an example of a handle mounting.}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{BungSunMeirelesetal.2012, author = {Bung, Daniel Bernhard and Sun, Q. and Meireles, I. and Matos, J. and Viseu, T.}, title = {USBR type III stilling basin performance for steep stepped spillways}, series = {Hydraulic structures into the 21st century : 4th IAHR International Symposium on Hydraulic Structures : 9.-11.2.2012, Porto}, booktitle = {Hydraulic structures into the 21st century : 4th IAHR International Symposium on Hydraulic Structures : 9.-11.2.2012, Porto}, organization = {International Symposium on Hydraulic Structures <4, 2012, Porto>}, isbn = {978-989-8509-01-7}, pages = {Elektronisch publiziert}, year = {2012}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{SchreiberBarkschatKraft2014, author = {Schreiber, Marc and Barkschat, Kai and Kraft, Bodo}, title = {Using Continuous Integration to organize and monitor the annotation process of domain specific corpora}, series = {5th International Conference on Information and Communication Systems (ICICS) : 1-3 April 2014, Irbid, Jordanien}, booktitle = {5th International Conference on Information and Communication Systems (ICICS) : 1-3 April 2014, Irbid, Jordanien}, organization = {International Conference on Information and Communication Systems <5, 2014, Irbid, Jordanien>}, isbn = {978-1-4799-3022-7}, doi = {10.1109/IACS.2014.6841958}, pages = {1 -- 6}, year = {2014}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{RauschFriesenAltherretal.2018, author = {Rausch, Lea and Friesen, John and Altherr, Lena and Pelz, Peter F.}, title = {Using mixed-integer programming for the optimal design of water supply networks for slums}, series = {Operations Research Proceedings 2017}, booktitle = {Operations Research Proceedings 2017}, editor = {Kliewer, Natalia and Ehmke, Jan Fabian and Bornd{\"o}rfer, Ralf}, publisher = {Springer}, address = {Cham}, isbn = {978-3-319-89919-0 (Print)}, doi = {10.1007/978-3-319-89920-6_68}, pages = {509 -- 516}, year = {2018}, abstract = {The UN sets the goal to ensure access to water and sanitation for all people by 2030. To address this goal, we present a multidisciplinary approach for designing water supply networks for slums in large cities by applying mathematical optimization. The problem is modeled as a mixed-integer linear problem (MILP) aiming to find a network describing the optimal supply infrastructure. To illustrate the approach, we apply it on a small slum cluster in Dhaka, Bangladesh.}, language = {en} }
