To understand how chronic drought affects tree growth and tree-ring δ13C values, we studied mature Scots pine in an irrigation experiment in an inner-Alpine valley. Tree growth and isotope analyses were carried out at the annual and seasonal scale. At the seasonal scale, maximum δ13C values were measured after the hottest and driest period of the year, and were associated with decreasing growth rates. Inter-annual δ13C values in early- and latewood showed a strong correlation with annual climatic conditions and an immediate decrease as a response to irrigation. This indicates a tight coupling between wood formation and the freshly produced assimilates for trees exposed to chronic drought. This rapid appearance of the isotopic signal is a strong indication for an immediate and direct transfer of newly synthesized assimilates for biomass production. The fast appearance and the distinct isotopic signal suggest a low availability of old stored carbohydrates. If this was a sign for C-storage depletion, an increasing mortality could be expected when stressors increase the need for carbohydrate for defence, repair or regeneration.}, language = {en} } @article{HelsperMoelterKaminski1992, author = {Helsper, Christoph and M{\"o}lter, W. and Kaminski, S.}, title = {Fast, Automated Testing of Different Air Filter Media / M{\"o}lter, W. ; Helsper, C. ; Kaminski, S.}, series = {Filtration and Separation. 29 (1992), H. 1}, journal = {Filtration and Separation. 29 (1992), H. 1}, isbn = {0015-1882}, pages = {45 -- 50}, year = {1992}, language = {en} } @article{KallweitUchiyamaSiekmann1998, author = {Kallweit, Stephan and Uchiyama, R. and Siekmann, H.}, title = {Fault Diagnostic Method for Pump Running Conditions Based on Process Modeling and Neural Network / Uchiyama, R. ; Kallweit, S. ; Siekmann, H.}, series = {International Journal of Rotating Machinery. 4 (1998), H. 1}, journal = {International Journal of Rotating Machinery. 4 (1998), H. 1}, isbn = {1542-3034}, pages = {49 -- 59}, year = {1998}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{NiemuellerReuterFerrein2016, author = {Niemueller, Tim and Reuter, Sebastian and Ferrein, Alexander}, title = {Fawkes for the RoboCup Logistics League}, series = {RoboCup 2015: Robot World Cup XIX}, booktitle = {RoboCup 2015: Robot World Cup XIX}, editor = {Almeida, Luis}, publisher = {Springer International Publishing}, address = {Cham}, isbn = {978-3-319-29339-4}, doi = {10.1007/978-3-319-29339-4_31}, pages = {365 -- 373}, year = {2016}, language = {en} } @article{KilicRaatschenKoerfgenetal.2017, author = {Kilic, S. A high-resolution finite element model was created directly from the available design documents. All physical properties of the structural components were included in detail, so no calibration to the measured data was necessary. The deck and towers were modeled with shell elements. A nonlinear static analysis was performed before the eigenvalue calculation. The calculated natural frequencies and corresponding mode shapes showed good agreement with the available measured ambient vibration data. The calculation of the effective modal mass showed that nine modes had single contributions higher than 5 \% of the total mass. They were in a frequency range up to 1.2 Hz. The comparison of the results for the torsional modes especially demonstrated the advantage of using thin shell finite elements over the beam modeling approach.}, language = {en} }
