  abstract  = {Pure analytical or experimental methods can only find a control strategy for technical systems with a fixed setup. In former contributions we presented an approach that simultaneously finds the optimal topology and the optimal open-loop control of a system via Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP). In order to extend this approach by a closed-loop control we present a Mixed Integer Program for a time discretized tank level control. This model is the basis for an extension by combinatorial decisions and thus for the variation of the network topology. Furthermore, one is able to appraise feasible solutions using the global optimality gap.},

  abstract  = {On-line monitoring of the metabolic activity of microorganisms involved in intermediate stages of biogas production plays an important role to avoid undesirable "down times" during the biogas production. In order to control this process, an on-chip differential measuring system based on the light-addressable potentiometric sensor (LAPS) principle combined with a 3D-printed multi-chamber structure has been realized. As a test microorganism, Escherichia coli K12 (E. coli K12) were used for cell-based measurements. Multi-chamber structures were developed to determine the metabolic activity of E. coli K12 in suspension for a different number of cells, responding to the addition of a constant or variable amount of glucose concentrations, enabling differential and simultaneous measurements.},

  abstract  = {Generally the usage of reference models can be structured top-down or bottom-up. The practical need of agile change and flexible organizational implementation requires a consistent mapping to an operational level. In this context, well-established reference process models are typically structured top-down. The subject-oriented Business Process Management (sBPM) offers a modeling concept that is structured bottom-up and concentrates on the process actors on an operational level. This paper applies sBPM to the enhanced Telecom Operations Map (eTOM), a well-accepted reference process model in the telecommunications industry. The resulting design artifact is a concrete example for a combination of a bottom-up and top-down developed reference model. The results are evaluated and confirmed in practical context through the involvement of the industry body TMForum.},

  abstract  = {Self-aeration is traditionally explained by the water turbulent boundary layer outer edge intersection with the free surface. This paper presents a discussion on the commonly accepted hypothesis behind the computation of the critical point of self-aeration in spillway flows and a new formulation is proposed based on the existence of a developing air flow over the free surface. Upstream of the inception point of self-aeration, some surface roughening has been often reported in previous studies which consequently implies some entrapped air transport and air-water flows coupling. Such air flow is proven in this study by presenting measured air velocities and computing the air boundary layer thickness for a 1V:2H smooth chute flow. Additionally, the growth rate of free surface waves has been analysed by means of Ultrasonic Sensors measurements, obtaining also the entrapped air concentration. High-speed camera imaging has been used for qualitative study of the flow perturbations.},

  abstract  = {Die Studiengangentwicklung ist ein komplexer Prozess, in dem strukturelle Vorgaben beachtet, viele unterschiedliche Akteure/-innen einbezogen und nicht zuletzt angemessene didaktische L{\"o}sungen zum Erreichen der angestrebten Lernergebnisse gefunden werden m{\"u}ssen. Der vorliegende Text nimmt besonders den letzten Punkt in den Blick: Er zeigt, wie Studiengangentwicklung zu einem Thema der (Hochschul-)Didaktik geworden ist und wie sich der didaktische Ansatz von struktur- und prozessorientierten Ans{\"a}tzen unterscheidet, aber auch, wie er mit diesen zusammenh{\"a}ngt. An einem Beispiel aus dem Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen wird veranschaulicht, was didaktische Studiengangentwicklung in der Praxis ausmacht und wie eine konkrete Implementierung verlaufen kann. Auf dieser Grundlage wird abschließend ein erweitertes Modell der didaktischen Studiengangentwicklung vorgeschlagen.},

  abstract  = {Nach jahrelangem Ringen haben sich die zust{\"a}ndigen Institutionen der EU auf ein einheitliches Datenschutzgesetz, die Datenschutz-Grundverordnung (DS-GV), geeinigt. Diese ist am 25.5.2016 in Kraft getreten und wird nach einer zweij{\"a}hrigen {\"U}bergangszeit am 25.5.2018 f{\"u}r alle EU-Mitgliedstaaten unmittelbar verbindlich. Verst{\"o}ße hiergegen k{\"o}nnen erhebliche Sanktionen nach sich ziehen. Es drohen Bußgelder von bis zu 20 Mio. € oder bis zu 4 \% des gruppenweiten Jahresumsatzes - je nachdem, welcher Betrag h{\"o}her ist. Die betriebliche Praxis tut also gut daran, sich rechtzeitig mit den neuen Anforderungen zu befassen und diese umzusetzen. Dieser Beitrag gibt einen ersten {\"U}berblick {\"u}ber die sich aus der DS-GV ergebenden Konsequenzen f{\"u}r die betriebliche Praxis im Allgemeinen sowie im Hinblick auf die Datenverarbeitung im Besch{\"a}ftigungskontext im Besonderen.},
