  abstract  = {Im Mai 2012 fand in Hamburg erstmals das „Junge Forum Hochschul- und Mediendidaktik" statt, im Juni 2013 folgte in Potsdam die zweite Auflage als „Junges Forum Medien und Hochschulentwicklung". 2014 wurde das dritte „Forum" in Dresden und 2015 das vierte in D{\"u}sseldorf ausgerichtet. Das f{\"u}nfte Forum wird 2016 an der Technischen Universit{\"a}t Darmstadt stattfinden. Initiiert und organisiert wird die Veranstaltung stets von jungen Praktikerinnen und Praktikern sowie Forscherinnen und Forschern mit dem Ziel, dem ‚Nachwuchs' in diesem Bereich ein Austauschforum zu geben. Der vorliegende Artikel stellt die konzeptionellen {\"U}berlegungen vor, die hinter diesen Treffen stehen. Er zeigt im R{\"u}ckgriff auf Netzwerktheorie und aktuelle Diskussionen um Professionalisierung und Third Space, wieso f{\"u}r dieses Format ein aktueller Bedarf besteht, und begr{\"u}ndet dann im R{\"u}ckgriff auf didaktische Konzepte auch die methodische Gestaltung der Veranstaltungen.   abstract  = {The flight performance impact of three different landing gear configurations on a small, fixed-wing UAV is analyzed with a combination of RANS CFD calculations and an incremental flight performance algorithm. A standard fixed landing gear configuration is taken as a baseline, while the influence of retracting the landing gear or applying streamlined fairings is investigated. A retraction leads to a significant parasite drag reduction, while also fairings promise large savings. The increase in lift-to-drag ratio is reduced at high lift coefficients due to the influence of induced drag. All configurations are tested on three different design missions with an incremental flight performance algorithm. A trade-off study is performed using the retracted or faired landing gear's weight increase as a variable. The analysis reveals only small mission performance gains as the aerodynamic improvements are negated by weight penalties. A new workflow for decision-making is presented that allows to estimate if a change in landing gear configuration is beneficial for a small UAV.},

  abstract  = {For fuel flexibility enhancement hydrogen represents a possible alternative gas turbine fuel within future low emission power generation, in case of hydrogen production by the use of renewable energy sources such as wind energy or biomass. Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. (KHI) has research and development projects for future hydrogen society; production of hydrogen gas, refinement and liquefaction for transportation and storage, and utilization with gas turbine / gas engine for the generation of electricity. In the development of hydrogen gas turbines, a key technology is the stable and low NOx hydrogen combustion, especially Dry Low Emission (DLE) or Dry Low NOx (DLN) hydrogen combustion. Due to the large difference in the physical properties of hydrogen compared to other fuels such as natural gas, well established gas turbine combustion systems cannot be directly applied for DLE hydrogen combustion. Thus, the development of DLE hydrogen combustion technologies is an essential and challenging task for the future of hydrogen fueled gas turbines. The DLE Micro-Mix combustion principle for hydrogen fuel has been in development for many years to significantly reduce NOx emissions. This combustion principle is based on cross-flow mixing of air and gaseous hydrogen which reacts in multiple miniaturized "diffusion-type" flames. The major advantages of this combustion principle are the inherent safety against flashback and the low NOx-emissions due to a very short residence time of the reactants in the flame region of the micro-flames.},

  abstract  = {BACKGROUND Immunosuppression is often considered as an indication for antibiotic prophylaxis to prevent surgical site infections (SSI) while performing skin surgery. However, the data on the risk of developing SSI after dermatologic surgery in immunosuppressed patients are limited. PATIENTS AND METHODS All patients of the Department of Dermatology and Allergology at the University Hospital of RWTH Aachen in Aachen, Germany, who underwent hospitalization for a dermatologic surgery between June 2016 and January 2017 (6 months), were followed up after surgery until completion of the wound healing process. The follow-up addressed the occurrence of SSI and the need for systemic antibiotics after the operative procedure. Immunocompromised patients were compared with immunocompetent patients. The investigation was conducted as a retrospective analysis of patient records. RESULTS The authors performed 284 dermatologic surgeries in 177 patients. Nineteen percent (54/284) of the skin surgery was performed on immunocompromised patients. The most common indications for surgical treatment were nonmelanoma skin cancer and malignant melanomas. Surgical site infections occurred in 6.7\% (19/284) of the cases. In 95\% (18/19), systemic antibiotic treatment was needed. Twenty-one percent of all SSI (4/19) were seen in immunosuppressed patients. CONCLUSION According to the authors' data, immunosuppression does not represent a significant risk factor for SSI after dermatologic surgery. However, larger prospective studies are needed to make specific recommendations on the use of antibiotic prophylaxis while performing skin surgery in these patients. The available data on complications after dermatologic surgery have improved over the past years. Particularly, additional risk factors have been identified for surgical site infections (SSI). Purulent surgical sites, older age, involvement of head, neck, and acral regions, and also the involvement of less experienced surgeons have been reported to increase the risk of the SSI after dermatologic surgeries.1 In general, the incidence of SSI after skin surgery is considered to be low.1,2 However, antibiotics in dermatologic surgeries, especially in the perioperative setting, seem to be overused,3,4 particularly regarding developing antibiotic resistances and side effects. Immunosuppression has been recommended to be taken into consideration as an additional indication for antibiotic prophylaxis to prevent SSI after skin surgery in special cases.5,6 However, these recommendations do not specify the exact dermatologic surgeries, and were not specifically developed for dermatologic surgery patients and treatments, but adopted from other surgical fields.6 According to the survey conducted on American College of Mohs Surgery members in 2012, 13\% to 29\% of the surgeons administered antibiotic prophylaxis to immunocompromised patients to prevent SSI while performing dermatologic surgery on noninfected skin,3 although this was not recommended by Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology Advisory Statement. Indeed, the data on the risk of developing SSI after dermatologic surgery in immunosuppressed patients are limited. However, it is possible that due to the insufficient evidence on the risk of SSI occurrence in this patient group, dermatologic surgeons tend to overuse perioperative antibiotic prophylaxis. To make specific recommendations on the use of antibiotic prophylaxis in immunosuppressed patients in the field of skin surgery, more information about the incidence of SSI after dermatologic surgery in these patients is needed. The aim of this study was to fill this data gap by investigating whether there is an increased risk of SSI after skin surgery in immunocompromised patients compared with immunocompetent patients.},

Bisher entsprach es allgemeiner Auffassung, dass die Arbeitsverh{\"a}ltnisse von Zeit- bzw. Leiharbeitnehmern bei einem Betriebs(teil){\"u}bergang des die Leiharbeitnehmer entleihenden Betriebs nicht auf den Betriebserwerber {\"u}bergehen. Der EuGH hat in der Rechtssache Albron Catering mit Urteil vom 21.10.2010 jedoch entschieden, dass auch Leiharbeitnehmer von einem Betriebs(teil){\"u}bergang erfasst sein k{\"o}nnen. Folglich kann der Erwerber eines Betriebs oder Betriebsteils gem. \S 613a BGB zuk{\"u}nftig verpflichtet sein, auch die an den Betriebsver{\"a}ußerer verliehenen Leiharbeitnehmer zu {\"u}bernehmen. Die Entscheidung des EuGH hat somit zur Konsequenz, dass der {\"U}bergang von Leiharbeitsverh{\"a}ltnissen auf den Erwerber eines Betriebs jedenfalls nicht mehr pauschal ausgeschlossen werden kann. Dies gilt es bei k{\"u}nftigen Betriebs(teil){\"u}bertragungen zu ber{\"u}cksichtigen, um unliebsame {\"U}berraschungen zu vermeiden.},

Arbeitnehmer in Kurzarbeit, im M{\"a}rz 2010 waren es immer noch 830.000 Arbeitnehmer, die Kurzarbeitergeld bezogen haben. Bis Ende 2010 k{\"o}nnen Arbeitgeber Kurzarbeit noch f{\"u}r die verl{\"a}ngerte H{\"o}chstbezugsdauer von bis zu 18 Monaten beantragen. Zudem hat der Bundestag am 8.7.2010 eine nochmalige Verl{\"a}ngerung der Erstattung der Sozialversicherungsbeitr{\"a}ge bis M{\"a}rz 2012 verabschiedet. Trotzdem m{\"u}ssen zahlreiche Arbeitgeber inzwischen feststellen, dass sie allein mit dem Mittel der Kurzarbeit nicht um einen Personalabbau herumkommen. Nach diversen Korrekturen des urspr{\"u}nglichen Referentenentwurfes des Bundesministeriums f{\"u}r Arbeit und Soziales liegt seit dem 20.7.2016 der endg{\"u}ltige Entwurf des Gesetzes zur {\"A}nderung des Arbeitnehmer{\"u}berlassungsgesetzes und anderer Gesetze vor (A{\"U}G-E). Die {\"A}nderungen sollen zum 1.1.2017 in Kraft treten. Von gr{\"o}ßeren {\"A}nderungen des Gesetzesentwurfs wird allgemein nicht mehr ausgegangen. F{\"u}r die betriebliche Praxis sollte dies Anlass sein, sich bereits jetzt mit den sich abzeichnenden wichtigsten Neuerungen vertraut zu machen und diese entsprechend umzusetzen, um nachteilige Konsequenzen zu vermeiden.},

Die Auswirkungen d{\"u}rften enorm sein. Das Bundesministerium f{\"u}r Arbeit und Soziales geht jedenfalls davon aus, dass aufgrund der Einf{\"u}hrung des gesetzlichen Mindestlohns mehrere Millionen Besch{\"a}ftigte einen h{\"o}heren Lohn beanspruchen k{\"o}nnen.   abstract  = {Die SPAC-SE ist b{\"o}rsenf{\"a}hig und damit eine f{\"u}r eine SPAC grunds{\"a}tzlich geeignete Rechtsform. Die Tatsache, dass es sich hierbei (zun{\"a}chst) um eine leere, arbeitnehmerlose H{\"u}lle handelt, {\"a}ndert hieran nichts. Die Gr{\"u}ndung einer solchen Vorrats-SE ist trotz fehlender Arbeitnehmerbeteiligung unter teleologischer Reduktion von Art. 12 II SE-VO zul{\"a}ssig. Im Gegenzug muss die Arbeitnehmerbeteiligung gemaß \S 18 III SEBG analog nachgeholt werden, wenn das sp{\"a}ter erworbene Zielunternehmen auf die SPAC-SE verschmolzen werden soll. Aus gesellschaftsrechtlicher Sicht ist zu beachten, dass die SPAC-SE mit Sitz in Deutschland, welche auch den deutschen, aktienrechtlichen Bestimmungen unterliegt, nur bedingt f{\"u}r eine SPAC geeignet erscheint. Das deutsche Aktienrecht enth{\"a}lt strenge Regelungen, die der f{\"u}r eine SPAC-SE erforderlichen Flexibilit{\"a}t entgegenstehen k{\"o}nnen. Dies gilt insbesondere f{\"u}r das Erfordernis der Zustimmung der Hauptversammlung zur Akquisition des Zielunternehmens, die R{\"u}ckzahlung des Treuhandverm{\"o}gens an Aktion{\"a}re, die der Akquisition nicht zugestimmt haben und die Liquidation der SPAC-SE im Falle des Scheiterns des Erwerbs des Zielobjektes.},

  abstract  = {Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a typical surface sterilization agent for packaging materials used in the pharmaceutical, food and beverage industries. We use the finite-elements method to analyze the conceptual design of an in-line thermal evaporation unit to produce a heated gas mixture of air and evaporated H2O2 solution. For the numerical model, the required phase-transition variables of pure H2O2 solution and of the aerosol mixture are acquired from vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) diagrams derived from vapor-pressure formulations. This work combines homogeneous single-phase turbulent flow with heat-transfer physics to describe the operation of the evaporation unit. We introduce the apparent heat-capacity concept to approximate the non-isothermal phase-transition process of the H2O2-containing aerosol. Empirical and analytical functions are defined to represent the temperature- and pressure-dependent material properties of the aqueous H2O2 solution, the aerosol and the gas mixture. To validate the numerical model, the simulation results are compared to experimental data on the heating power required to produce the gas mixture. This shows good agreement with the deviations below 10\%. Experimental observations on the formation of deposits due to the evaporation of stabilized H2O2 solution fits the prediction made from simulation results.},

  abstract  = {A light-addressable potentiometric sensor (LAPS) is a field-effect-based (bio-) chemical sensor, in which a desired sensing area on the sensor surface can be defined by illumination. Light addressability can be used to visualize the concentration and spatial distribution of the target molecules, e.g., H+ ions. This unique feature has great potential for the label-free imaging of the metabolic activity of living organisms. The cultivation of those organisms needs specially tailored surface properties of the sensor. O2 plasma treatment is an attractive and promising tool for rapid surface engineering. However, the potential impacts of the technique are carefully investigated for the sensors that suffer from plasma-induced damage. Herein, a LAPS with a Ta2O5 pH-sensitive surface is successfully patterned by plasma treatment, and its effects are investigated by contact angle and scanning LAPS measurements. The plasma duration of 30 s (30 W) is found to be the threshold value, where excessive wettability begins. Furthermore, this treatment approach causes moderate plasma-induced damage, which can be reduced by thermal annealing (10 min at 300 °C). These findings provide a useful guideline to support future studies, where the LAPS surface is desired to be more hydrophilic by O2 plasma treatment.},

  abstract  = {Digital Image Correlation (DIC) is a powerful tool used to evaluate displacements and deformations in a non-intrusive manner. By comparing two images, one of the undeformed reference state of a specimen and another of the deformed target state, the relative displacement between those two states is determined. DIC is well known and often used for post-processing analysis of in-plane displacements and deformation of specimen. Increasing the analysis speed to enable real-time DIC analysis will be beneficial and extend the field of use of this technique. Here we tested several combinations of the most common DIC methods in combination with different parallelization approaches in MATLAB and evaluated their performance to determine whether real-time analysis is possible with these methods. To reflect improvements in computing technology different hardware settings were also analysed. We found that implementation problems can reduce the efficiency of a theoretically superior algorithm such that it becomes practically slower than a suboptimal algorithm. The Newton-Raphson algorithm in combination with a modified Particle Swarm algorithm in parallel image computation was found to be most effective. This is contrary to theory, suggesting that the inverse-compositional Gauss-Newton algorithm is superior. As expected, the Brute Force Search algorithm is the least effective method. We also found that the correct choice of parallelization tasks is crucial to achieve improvements in computing speed. A poorly chosen parallelisation approach with high parallel overhead leads to inferior performance. Finally, irrespective of the computing mode the correct choice of combinations of integerpixel and sub-pixel search algorithms is decisive for an efficient analysis. Using currently available hardware realtime analysis at high framerates remains an aspiration.},

Das zeigen nicht zuletzt aktuelle Statistiken der Schadensversicherer. Immer wieder gibt es Meldungen {\"u}ber extrem hohe Blitzstr{\"o}me, die nat{\"u}rlich auch zu großen Sch{\"a}den und Zerst{\"o}rungen f{\"u}hren k{\"o}nnen. Dabei werden Scheitelwerte von teilweise deutlich {\"u}ber 300 kA genannt. Dies wirft Fragen auf, da die „klassische" Blitzstatistik (z. B. nach CIGRE und IEC [8][10]) bisher solche Werte nicht kennt. Diese extremen Blitzstr{\"o}me werden meist aus den Daten von Blitzortungssystemen ermittelt.},

  abstract  = {Purpose — to compare the chemical elemental composition of vitreous cavity content taken from cadaveric eyes compared to samples taken from the eyes with terminal stage refractory glaucoma with decompensated intraocular pressure (IOP). Material and methods. The vitreous contents of the eyes from 2 groups were studied. The 1st group included 15 cadaveric eyes; the 2nd group included 15 eyes with refractory glaucoma in the terminal stage of the disease with decompensated IOP in patients with hypertension pain. The vitreal content samples were taken in the course of antiglaucoma surgery aimed at preserving the eye as an organ and involving employment of drainage in the vitreous cavity. The study of virtual contents was carried out on energy dispersive spectrometer Oxford X-Max 50 integrated into scanning electron microscope Zeiss EVO LS10. Results. Increased concentrations of Kalium and Phosphorus were detected in the vitreous content of cadaveric eyes compared with the vitreal content from the eyes with terminal glaucoma with decompensated IOP taken in vivo (K — 0.172/0.093; P — 0.045/0.025 mmol/L). In the vitreous cavity in the eyes with end-stage glaucoma with decompensated IOP, the concentration of Nitrogen was higher in comparison with human cadaver eyes (2.030/1.424 mmol/L). Conclusion. The increased concentrations of Kalium and Phosphorus in the vitreous content of cadaveric eyes is associated with postmortem autolytic processes and with the release of intracellular content in the destruction of cell membranes. The increased Nitrogen concentration in the vitreal contents of the eyes with terminal stage glaucoma with decompensated IOP may be associated with the presence of osmotically active nitrogen-containing compounds in the eyes with increased IOP.},
