  abstract  = {Analyzing thermodynamic non-equilibrium processes, like the laminar and turbulent fluid flow, the dissipation is a key parameter with a characteristic minimum condition. That is applied to characterize laminar and turbulent behaviour of the Couette flow, including its transition in both directions. The Couette flow is chosen as the only flow form with constant shear stress over the flow profile, being laminar, turbulent or both. The local dissipation defines quantitative and stable criteria for the transition and the existence of turbulence. There are basic results: The Navier Stokes equations cannot describe the experimental flow profiles of the turbulent Couette flow. But they are used to quantify the dissipation of turbulent fluctuation. The dissipation minimum requires turbulent structures reaching maximum macroscopic dimensions, describing turbulence as a "non-local" phenomenon. At the transition the Couette flow profiles and the shear stress change by a factor ≅ 5 due to a change of the "apparent" turbulent viscosity by a calculated factor ≅ 27. The resulting difference of the laminar and the turbulent profiles results in two different Reynolds numbers and different loci of transition, which are identified by calculation.},

  abstract  = {The "1. Stokes' problem", the "suddenly accelerated flat wall", is the oldest application of the Navier-Stokes equations. Stokes' solution of the "problem" does not comply with the mathematical theorem of Cauchy and Kowalewskaya on the "Uniqueness and Existence" of solutions of partial differential equations and violates the physical theorem of minimum entropy production/dissipation of the Thermodynamics of Irreversible Processes. The result includes very high local shear stresses and dissipation rates. That is of special interest for the theory of turbulent and mixed turbulent/laminar flow. A textbook solution of the "1. Stokes Problem" is the Couette flow, which has a constant sheer stress along a linear profile. A consequence is that the Navier-Stokes equations do not describe any S-shaped part of a turbulent profile found in any turbulent Couette experiment. The paper surveys arguments referring to that statement, concerning the history of >150 years. Contrary to this there is always a Navier-Stokes solution near the wall, observed by a linear part of the Couette profile. There a turbulent description (e.g. by the logarithmic law-of-the-wall) fails completely. That is explained by the minimum dissipation requirement together with the Couette feature τ = const. The local co-existence of a turbulent zone and a laminar zone near the wall is stable and observed also at high Reynolds-Numbers.},

Wenn wichtige Erlebnisse aus unserer Erinnerung verschwinden, bleiben wir dann noch wir selbst? F{\"u}r die gestalterische Auseinandersetzung mit diesen Fragen wurde das Medium Film gew{\"a}hlt. Der Film f{\"u}hrt uns auf eine Reise durch die Erinnerungs- und Gedankenwelt einer Person, die ihre Erinnerung verloren hat. Mit der Hilfe des Psychologen Dr. Daniel Rose soll ein Memory-Backup durchgef{\"u}hrt werden, um die verlorenen Erinnerungen wiederherzustellen. Dabei sollen ihre Erinnerungen neu aufgesetzt werden, um ihr altes Bewusstsein zur{\"u}ckzugewinnen. St{\"u}ck f{\"u}r St{\"u}ck werden die verlorenen Erinnerungen in verschiedenen Bewusstseinsphasen zusammengesetzt und mit ihnen l{\"o}st sich das R{\"a}tsel ihres Verschwindens.},

Essenzielle Funktionen sind k{\"u}rzere Kommunikationswege und eine gute {\"U}bersicht {\"u}ber den Soll-Ist-Abgleich inklusive {\"U}berstunden, Minusstunden, Abwesenheiten und den monatlichen Lohn. Der einfache Schichttausch und die Option der Ber{\"u}cksichtigung individueller Präferenzen und W{\"u}nsche ermöglicht es dem Personal, die Arbeit und das private Leben besser miteinander vereinen zu können, was sich positiv auf die Arbeitszufriedenheit auswirkt.},

Sie sind sowohl im Kontext der Architektur als Fassadenverkleidung anwendbar als auch im Innenbereich als Wandverkleidung. Die F{\"a}higkeit von Sch{\"o}nheit, unsere Umgebung zu transformieren, nimmt eine leitende Rolle in dieser Arbeit ein. Als Inspirationsquelle f{\"u}r die Entw{\"u}rfe dienten Dinge, die dem allgemeinen Sch{\"o}nheitsempfinden entsprechen: Wasser, Bl{\"u}ten, der Himmel und andere Naturph{\"a}nomene. Diese wurden abstrahiert, in Reliefs {\"u}bersetzt und in drei unterschiedliche Module weiterentwickelt. Sie sind konzeptionell frei skalierbar und wurden in Kleinserie im Gussverfahren prototypisiert. Mit „ADIE" sollte auf die Funktion von Sch{\"o}nheit im Design Bezug genommen werden und etwas entstehen, das einfach „nur" sch{\"o}n ist.},

Der Einfluss elektronischer Musikproduktion auf moderne Popularmusik ist nicht von der Hand zu weisen und ihre Produktionstechniken f{\"u}r heutige Standards unverzichtbar. {\"U}ber die Jahre ihrer Entwicklung und den dabei entstandenen Musikrichtungen verschwanden die individuellen Charakteristika der verschiedenen Subgenres allerdings oft einfach unter der Sammelbezeichnung elektronischer Musik. »Electrovisuals« stellt die auditiven Eigenschaften elektronischer Musik in Form von klaren Infografiken dar und sorgt damit f{\"u}r ein besseres Verst{\"a}ndnis von Rhythmus und Struktur der Songs. Die verschiedenen Subgenres werden multimedial inszeniert und einander gegen{\"u}bergestellt, um {\"A}hnlichkeiten und Unterschiede zu betonen.   abstract  = {In Valais, Switzerland, Scots pines (Pinus sylvestris L.) are declining, mainly following drought. To assess the impact of drought on tree growth and survival, an irrigation experiment was initiated in 2003 in a mature pine forest, approximately doubling the annual precipitation. Tree crown transparency (lack of foliage) and leaf area index (LAI) were annually assessed. Seven irrigated and six control trees were felled in 2006, and needles, stem discs and branches were taken for growth analysis. Irrigation in 2004 and 2005, both with below-average precipitation, increased needle size, area and mass, stem growth and, with a 1-year delay, shoot length. This led to a relative decrease in tree crown transparency (-14\%) and to an increase in stand LAI (+20\%). Irrigation increased needle length by 70\%, shoot length by 100\% and ring width by 120\%, regardless of crown transparency. Crown transparency correlated positively with mean needle size, shoot length and ring width and negatively with specific leaf area. Trees with high crown transparency (low growth, short needles) experienced similar increases in needle mass and growth with irrigation than trees with low transparency (high growth, long needles), indicating that seemingly declining trees were able to 'recover' when water supply became sufficient. A simple drought index before and during the irrigation explained most of the variation found in the parameters for both irrigated and control trees.},

  abstract  = {A nonparametric goodness-of-fit test for random variables with values in a separable Hilbert space is investigated. To verify the null hypothesis that the data come from a specific distribution, an integral type test based on a Cram{\´e}r-von-Mises statistic is suggested. The convergence in distribution of the test statistic under the null hypothesis is proved and the test's consistency is concluded. Moreover, properties under local alternatives are discussed. Applications are given for data of huge but finite dimension and for functional data in infinite dimensional spaces. A general approach enables the treatment of incomplete data. In simulation studies the test competes with alternative proposals.},
