  abstract  = {This paper aims to evaluate the formability of tailor welded blanks of dual phase (DP600)/transformation induced plasticity (TRIP700) steel sheets. In this work, bead on plate butt joints of 2·5 mm DP600 and 1·2 mm TRIP700 steel sheets were performed using CO2 laser beam welding. Microhardness measurements and transverse tensile testing were carried out to characterise the welds. The formability of base metals and welds were investigated by standard Erichsen test. In a perpendicular tensile test to the weld line, all specimens were fractured at the TRIP base metal, and the strengths were somewhat higher than those of base metal. There was a significant reduction in formability caused by welding of the DP600/TRIP700 steel sheets, and the formability increased with increasing welding speed.},

Verwendet wurden Ru-Katalysatoren der zweiten Generation, welche eine hohe Toleranz gegen{\"u}ber funktionellen Gruppen und Verunreinigungen aufweisen. Trotz des Einsatzes technischer Edukte waren Umsetzungen mit niedrigen Katalysatormengen (0.001 - 0.01 mol-\%) m{\"o}glich, mit Ausbeuten entsprechend der Literatur. Kreuzmetathesen erm{\"o}glichten variable Kettenl{\"a}ngen und Funktionalit{\"a}ten der Monomere, die Produktgewinnung ist jedoch aufw{\"a}ndig. Selbstmetathese lieferte C18-bifunktionelle Verbindungen, welche einfach durch Destillation oder Kristallisation isoliert werden k{\"o}nnen. Neben der katalystischen Umsetzung wurde auch die Produktgewinnung untersucht und f{\"u}r ausgew{\"a}hlte Produkte auch im gr{\"o}ßeren Maßstab durchgef{\"u}hrt.},

  abstract  = {The mathematical modeling of heat conduction with adsorption effects in coated metal structures yields the heat equation with piecewise smooth coefficients and a new kind of source term. This term is special, because it is non-linear and furthermore depends on a time derivative. In our approach we reformulated this as a new problem for the usual heat equation, without source term but with a new non-linear coefficient. We gave an existence and uniqueness proof for the weak solution of the reformulated problem. To obtain a numerical solution, we developed a semi-implicit and a fully implicit finite volume method. We compared these two methods theoretically as well as numerically. Finally, as practical application, we simulated the heat conduction in coated aluminum fibers with adsorption in the zeolite coating. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley \& Sons, Ltd.},

  abstract  = {Recently, we introduced and mathematically analysed a new method for grid deformation (Grajewski et al., 2009) [15] we call basic deformation method (BDM) here. It generalises the method proposed by Liao et al. (Bochev et al., 1996; Cai et al., 2004; Liao and Anderson, 1992) [4], [6], [20]. In this article, we employ the BDM as core of a new multilevel deformation method (MDM) which leads to vast improvements regarding robustness, accuracy and speed. We achieve this by splitting up the deformation process in a sequence of easier subproblems and by exploiting grid hierarchy. Being of optimal asymptotic complexity, we experience speed-ups up to a factor of 15 in our test cases compared to the BDM. This gives our MDM the potential for tackling large grids and time-dependent problems, where possibly the grid must be dynamically deformed once per time step according to the user's needs. Moreover, we elaborate on implementational aspects, in particular efficient grid searching, which is a key ingredient of the BDM.},

  abstract  = {Chemical imaging systems allow the visualisation of the distribution of chemical species on the sensor surface. This work represents a new flexible approach of read out in a light-addressable potentiometric sensor (LAPS) with the help of a digital light processing (DLP) set-up. The DLP, known well for video projectors, consists of a mirror-array MEMS device which allows fast and flexible generation of light patterns. With the help of these light patterns the sensor surface of the LAPS device can be read out sequentially in a raster like scheme (scanning LAPS). The DLP approach has several advantages compared to conventional scanning LAPS set-ups, e.g., the spot size, the shape and the intensity of the light pointer can be changed easily and no mechanical movement is necessary, which reduces the size of the set-up and increases the stability and speed of measurement.},

Nonlocality is introduced via a scalar "constitutive" kernel in a special case of the translational gauge theory of gravitation, namely, the teleparallel equivalent of general relativity. In this theory, the nonlocal aspect of gravity simulates dark matter. A nonlocal and nonlinear generalization of Poisson's equation of Newtonian gravitation is presented. The implications of nonlocality for the gravitational physics in the solar system are briefly studied.},

  abstract  = {Die Erdbebensicherheit von Geb{\"a}uden aus Kalksandsteinmauerwerk ist aktuell nach DIN 4149 mit linearen Verfahren nachzuweisen. Dies f{\"u}hrt in der praktischen Anwendung zu großen Problemen, da selbst traditionell {\"u}bliche Grundrisse teilweise nicht mehr ohne zus{\"a}tzliche Maßnahmen nachweisbar sind. Zur L{\"o}sung dieser Problematik wurden von der deutschen Mauerwerksindustrie auf nationaler und europ{\"a}ischer Ebene Forschungsprojekte initiiert, deren Ergebnisse in Form von statisch nichtlinearen Verfahren Eingang in den Nationalen Anhang zur DIN EN 1998-1 [12] gefunden haben. Mit den Verfahren wird die Nachweissituation zuk{\"u}nftig grundlegend verbessert, da mit diesen die Tragwerksreserven wesentlich besser ausgenutzt werden k{\"o}nnen. Im Folgenden wird die Anwendung der Verfahren am Beispiel einer Reihenhauszeile aus Kalksandsteinmauerwerk demonstriert. Der Nachweis der Reihenh{\"a}user wurde im Rahmen einer Zustimmung im Einzelfall, die vom Bundesverband Kalksandsteinindustrie eV in Hannover koordiniert wurde, durch unabh{\"a}ngige Gutachter und die Bauaufsicht eingehend gepr{\"u}ft und f{\"u}r richtig befunden. Die Durchf{\"u}hrung des Nachweises erfolgte auf Grundlage eines an der RWTH Aachen entwickelten neuen Nachweiskonzeptes. Die baupraktische Anwendbarkeit und einfache Nachvollziehbarkeit dieses Konzepts ist durch eine softwaretechnische Umsetzung sichergestellt.},
