  abstract  = {Der nachwachsende Rohstoff Raps ist in großen Mengen verf{\"u}gbar und eine Quelle f{\"u}r Biomolek{\"u}le mit hohem Wertsch{\"o}pfungspotenzial. Entwicklungen zur biotechnologischen Wertstoffgewinnung werden dabei schwerpunktm{\"a}ßig in den Bereichen Aufarbeitung und Funktionalisierung von Polyphenolen und Fetten betrieben. Bei der Verarbeitung der Pflanzenmaterialien werden dabei insbesondere Verfahren zur adsorptiven Aufreinigung und Auftrennung mittels Materialien mit modifizierten Bleicherden und anderen organischen oder anorganischen Adsorbentien untersucht. Ferner wurden f{\"u}r die Aufreinigung von Polyphenolen adsorptive sowie extraktive Prozesse entwickelt. Bei den Entwicklungen wird ber{\"u}cksichtigt, dass Bioraffinerien auf eine fortw{\"a}hrende Gew{\"a}hrleistung eines hohen Produktions- bzw. Lieferbedarfs nachwachsender Rohstoffe angewiesen sind. Somit werden Optionen dezentraler regionaler Vorbehandlungs- und Wertsch{\"o}pfungsketten in der N{\"a}he landwirtschaftlicher Betriebe einbezogen. Neben neuen Aufreinigungsverfahren werden mikrobielle und enzymatische Prozesse zur wertsteigernden Umsetzung von Glycerin, Polyphenolen und Zuckermonomeren vorgestellt sowie Limitierungen nachwachsender Rohstoffe der 2. Generation diskutiert.},

  abstract  = {It was generally believed that coal sources are not favorable as live-in habitats for microorganisms due to their recalcitrant chemical nature and negligible decomposition. However, accumulating evidence has revealed the presence of diverse microbial groups in coal environments and their significant metabolic role in coal biogeochemical dynamics and ecosystem functioning. The high oxygen content, organic fractions, and lignin-like structures of lower-rank coals may provide effective means for microbial attack, still representing a greatly unexplored frontier in microbiology. Coal degradation/conversion technology by native bacterial and fungal species has great potential in agricultural development, chemical industry production, and environmental rehabilitation. Furthermore, native microalgal species can offer a sustainable energy source and an excellent bioremediation strategy applicable to coal spill/seam waters. Additionally, the measures of the fate of the microbial community would serve as an indicator of restoration progress on post-coal-mining sites. This review puts forward a comprehensive vision of coal biodegradation and bioprocessing by microorganisms native to coal environments for determining their biotechnological potential and possible applications.},

  abstract  = {In many historical centers in Europe, stone masonry is part of building aggregates, which developed when the layout of the city or village was densified. The analysis of such building aggregates is very challenging and modelling guidelines missing. Advances in the development of analysis methods have been impeded by the lack of experimental data on the seismic response of such aggregates. The SERA project AIMS (Seismic Testing of Adjacent Interacting Masonry Structures) provides such experimental data by testing an aggregate of two buildings under two horizontal components of dynamic excitation. With the aim to advance the modelling of unreinforced masonry aggregates, a blind prediction competition is organized before the experimental campaign. Each group has been provided a complete set of construction drawings, material properties, testing sequence and the list of measurements to be reported. The applied modelling approaches span from equivalent frame models to Finite Element models using shell elements and discrete element models with solid elements. This paper compares the first entries, regarding the modelling approaches, results in terms of base shear, roof displacements, interface openings, and the failure modes.},

F{\"u}r Menschen mit Sehbehinderung gibt es bis heute keine M{\"o}glichkeit, sich ohne Hilfe von Familienmitgliedern, Freund:innen oder Pflegepersonal in einem Einkaufszentrum zurechtzufinden. Genau dieses Problem l{\"o}st "NAVON.". Er ist ein intelligenter und smarter Blindenstock, welcher durch Ultraschalldistanzsensoren fr{\"u}hzeitig Hindernisse erkennt und die M{\"o}glichkeit bietet, den Betroffenen durch das Einkaufszentrum zu lotsen. Die Logik des Systems liegt innerhalb des Handgriffs, welcher die wichtigsten Einstellungen bzgl. Sprache und haptischer Bedienelemente steuert. Ebenfalls gibt er dem Betroffenen auch ein haptisches Feedback, um Hindernisse fr{\"u}hzeitig umgehen zu k{\"o}nnen. "NAVON." ist ein wichtiger Ansatz f{\"u}r eine neue Kategorie von Produkten und Blindenst{\"o}cken.
