  abstract  = {In this work, we present a compact, bifunctional chip-based sensor setup that measures the temperature and electrical conductivity of water samples, including specimens from rivers and channels, aquaculture, and the Atlantic Ocean. For conductivity measurements, we utilize the impedance amplitude recorded via interdigitated electrode structures at a single triggering frequency. The results are well in line with data obtained using a calibrated reference instrument. The new setup holds for conductivity values spanning almost two orders of magnitude (river versus ocean water) without the need for equivalent circuit modelling. Temperature measurements were performed in four-point geometry with an on-chip platinum RTD (resistance temperature detector) in the temperature range between 2 °C and 40 °C, showing no hysteresis effects between warming and cooling cycles. Although the meander was not shielded against the liquid, the temperature calibration provided equivalent results to low conductive Milli-Q and highly conductive ocean water. The sensor is therefore suitable for inline and online monitoring purposes in recirculating aquaculture systems.},

  abstract  = {What does the word 'home' means and at what age do we give it meaning? Many of us grew up in one, in a home that our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and relatives shaped. Who, as we grew up, taught us about the world from their perspective as we interpreted and saw it for the first time and with it, its colors, its smells, its tastes, its sounds, its dances, and its languages. When we migrate, we take all that with us, like a piece of luggage that was stored in some corner inside a lung, or inside the memory in a heart's artery. And then you arrive in this new world, which we were told was the Old World, with other colors, other flavors, other words, in which yours no longer make sense. And you try to connect with all your senses, but, above all, we try to belong, because we belonged all our lives to something, to someone, to some place where we learned to be. When we migrate, without saying, we go through the grieve that comes with the beautiful discomfort of leaving everything we once knew. We mourn, because we can't go to lunch at our grandmas on Sundays, or have mom bring us soup when we are sick, or the Christmas meals and celebrations that we like so much, or that special dish that was made for us on our birthdays or on a family BBQ on a Sunday or a holiday. I wonder if emotions come inside us through the taste and respiratory track, if it is that we breathe life, and with that what we love finds its ways inside and finds its corner somewhere in the body. If what we have loved and what we have lived hides somewhere in our body, I doubtlessly think it came in through one of our senses, and in this attempt at my first illustrated book I'll share which, I think, are the senses through which at first instance part of what we perceive as cultural identity enters.},

  abstract  = {Unterhaltungsgegenst{\"a}nde und ihre Add-Ons stellen f{\"u}r viele Menschen ein wichtiger Bestandteil eines ausgewogenen Lebens dar und sind somit nicht mehr aus klassischen Haushalten wegzudenken. Doch nicht jeder Menschen hat {\"u}berhaupt Zugang zu ihnen, weil die Systeme meistens auf Durchschnittsb{\"u}rger:Innen abgestimmt sind. Davon betroffen sind beispielsweise Menschen mit Blindheit und Seheinschr{\"a}nkung. Um das Angebot individueller zu gestalten, wurde diesem Projekt ein Home-Entertainment-System entwickelt, das eben genau auf die Bed{\"u}rfnisse dieser Gruppe zugeschnitten ist. F{\"u}r die bedienungsfreundliche Gestaltung wurde im gesamten Prozess besonders viel Wert auf die konkrete Lebensrealit{\"a}t von Blinden und Menschen mit Seheinschr{\"a}nkungen gelegt. Hier sollen m{\"o}gliche Einschr{\"a}nkungen {\"u}berwunden werden und sich m{\"o}glichst den tats{\"a}chlichen Anforderungen in der Praxis anpassen. Dazu musste zun{\"a}chst ein umfassendes Verst{\"a}ndnis des Krankheitsbildes geschult werden. Außerdem wurde ein Blick in den Alltag dieser Menschen geworfen. Welche Home-Entertainmentger{\"a}te finden bereits im Wohnzimmer Platz und welche Komplikationen gibt es mit ihnen? Die breite Palette an Produkten gibt einen Eindruck davon, welche Funktionen ersetzt und welche Systeme gegebenenfalls miteinander verkn{\"u}pft werden k{\"o}nnen. Auf der Basis umfassender Recherche ist eine Fernbedienung entstanden, die sowohl per Sprachsteuerung als auch {\"u}ber physische Steuerung steuerbar ist. Zahlreiche taktile Elemente geben Orientierung bei der Nutzung und gew{\"a}hrleisten ein reibungsloses und handliches Nutzungserlebnis. Die Arbeit {\"o}ffnet den Blick f{\"u}r andere Lebenswelten und pl{\"a}diert f{\"u}r den Abbau von Barrieren f{\"u}r ein selbstbestimmteres Leben.},

  abstract  = {In den letzten 1.5 Jahren haben wir sehr deutlich gemerkt, dass es den Klimawandel wirklich gibt - ein Virus, welches unsere gesamte Welt auf links dreht, {\"U}berschwemmungskatastrophen, extreme Temperaturschwankungen, etc. Es ist also Zeit etwas zu ver{\"a}ndern, es ist Zeit aktiv hinzusehen und zu handeln - bewusst zu leben, bewusst zu konsumieren. Das Thema Ern{\"a}hrung wird zwar immer wichtiger f{\"u}r einige von uns, jedoch reicht mir die Aufmerksamkeit bisher nicht. Es sind nicht nur Lebensmittel, welche nach dem Aufenthalt im Supermarkt in unserem K{\"u}hlschrank und anschließend in unserem Bauch landen. Mit diesen Lebensmitteln gehen außerdem folgende Aspekte einher: der Klimawandel, unsere Gesundheit, die Ausbeutung von Tieren, Menschen und Natur. Also wie sieht eigentlich der Enstehungsprozess hinter all diesen (meist) verpackten Lebensmitteln aus? Einen Teil dieser Prozesse habe ich mir im Rahmen meiner Bachelorarbeit angeschaut. Ich habe ausschließlich Bio-H{\"o}fe besucht, um mir ein eigenes Bild von "alternativer Landwirtschaft" zu machen. Die Arbeit erm{\"o}glicht Interessierten einen neutralen Einblick hinter die Kulisse unserer Lebensmittel und schafft eine Anregung f{\"u}r einen bewussteren Konsum.},

Diese beinhaltet Interviews mit Content-Creatorn aus der Community, jungen Modesch{\"o}pfer:innen sowie einen Einblick in vergangene Events und Pop-Ups. Das Magazin bietet Mitwirkenden und zuk{\"u}nftig Interessierten einen Raum in einem f{\"u}r das Label neuen Medium und schafft die M{\"o}glichkeit, ihre Stimmen zu st{\"a}rken. CSTHEMAG verpflichtet sich gegen{\"u}ber der lebendigen Community, eine eigene Plattform zu bieten, auf der ihre einzigartigen Talente, Geschichten und Inspirationen zum Ausdruck kommen.},

  abstract  = {We provide a new analytical and computational study of the transmission eigenvalues with a conductive boundary condition. These eigenvalues are derived from the scalar inverse scattering problem for an inhomogeneous material with a conductive boundary condition. The goal is to study how these eigenvalues depend on the material parameters in order to estimate the refractive index. The analytical questions we study are: deriving Faber-Krahn type lower bounds, the discreteness and limiting behavior of the transmission eigenvalues as the conductivity tends to infinity for a sign changing contrast. We also provide a numerical study of a new boundary integral equation for computing the eigenvalues. Lastly, using the limiting behavior we will numerically estimate the refractive index from the eigenvalues provided the conductivity is sufficiently large but unknown.},

  abstract  = {Flow separation is a phenomenon that occurs in all kinds of supersonic nozzles sometimes during run-up and shut-down operations. Especially in expansion nozzles of rocket engines with large area ratio, flow separation can trigger strong side loads that can damage the structure of the nozzle. The investigation presented in this paper seeks to establish measures that may be applied to alter the point of flow separation. In order to achieve this, a supersonic nozzle was placed at the exit plane of the conical nozzle. This resulted in the generation of cross flow surrounding the core jet flow from the conical nozzle. Due to the entrainment of the gas stream from the conical nozzle the pressure in its exit plane was found to be lower than that of the ambient. A Cold gas instead of hot combustion gases was used as the working fluid. A mathematical simulation of the concept was validated by experiment. Measurements confirmed the simulation results that due to the introduction of a second nozzle the pressure in the separated region of the conical nozzle was significantly reduced. It was also established that the boundary layer separation inside the conical nozzle was delayed thus allowing an increased degree of overexpansion. The condition established by the pressure measurements was also demonstrated qualitatively using transparent nozzle configurations.},

  abstract  = {This paper describes the potential for developing a digital twin of society- a dynamic model that can be used to observe, analyze, and predict the evolution of various societal aspects. Such a digital twin can help governmental agencies and policy makers in interpreting trends, understanding challenges, and making decisions regarding investments or policies necessary to support societal development and ensure future prosperity. The paper reviews related work regarding the digital twin paradigm and its applications. The paper presents a motivating case study- an analysis of opportunities and challenges faced by the German federal employment agency, Bundesagentur f¨ur Arbeit (BA), proposes solutions using digital twins, and describes initial proofs of concept for such solutions.},
