Studies demonstrated reductions in muscle and joint forces, while kinematic gait patterns appear to be preserved with up to 30\% weight support. However, the influence of body weight support on muscle architecture, with respect to fascicle and series elastic element behavior is unknown, despite this having potential clinical implications for gait retraining. Eight males (31.9 ± 4.7 years) walked at 75\% of the speed at which they typically transition to running, with 0\% and 30\% body weight support on a lower-body positive pressure treadmill. Gastrocnemius medialis fascicle lengths and pennation angles were measured via ultrasonography. Additionally, joint kinematics were analyzed to determine gastrocnemius medialis muscle-tendon unit lengths, consisting of the muscle's contractile and series elastic elements. Series elastic element length was assessed using a muscle-tendon unit model. Depending on whether data were normally distributed, a paired t-test or Wilcoxon signed rank test was performed to determine if body weight supported walking had any effects on joint kinematics and fascicle-series elastic element behavior. Walking with 30\% body weight support had no statistically significant effect on joint kinematics and peak series elastic element length. Furthermore, at the time when peak series elastic element length was achieved, and on average across the entire stance phase, muscle-tendon unit length, fascicle length, pennation angle, and fascicle velocity were unchanged with respect to body weight support. In accordance with unchanged gait kinematics, preservation of fascicle-series elastic element behavior was observed during walking with 30\% body weight support, which suggests transferability of gait patterns to subsequent unsupported walking.}, language = {en} } @article{BerneckerKlierSternetal.2018, author = {Bernecker, Andreas and Klier, Julia and Stern, Sebastian and Thiel, Lea}, title = {Sustaining high performance beyond public-sector pilot projects.}, number = {September 2018}, organization = {McKinsey\&Company}, year = {2018}, language = {en} } @article{FredebeulKrein2015, author = {Fredebeul-Krein, Markus}, title = {TTIP : warum ein Investitionsschutzabkommen w{\"u}nschenswert ist}, series = {Ordnungspolitischer Kommentar / Institut f{\"u}r Wirtschaftspolitik an der Universit{\"a}t zu K{\"o}ln}, journal = {Ordnungspolitischer Kommentar / Institut f{\"u}r Wirtschaftspolitik an der Universit{\"a}t zu K{\"o}ln}, number = {02}, pages = {1 -- 2}, year = {2015}, language = {de} } @article{HirschKleebergSchmitz2018, author = {Hirsch, Marko and Kleeberg, Jochen and Schmitz, Philipp}, title = {Dynamische Asset-Allocation- Strategien im Niedrigzinsumfeld}, series = {Absolut|report : neue Perspektiven f{\"u}r institutionelle Investoren}, journal = {Absolut|report : neue Perspektiven f{\"u}r institutionelle Investoren}, number = {6}, publisher = {Absolut Research}, address = {Hamburg}, pages = {52}, year = {2018}, language = {de} } @article{FredebeulKrein2014, author = {Fredebeul-Krein, Markus}, title = {Ziele der Sozial- und Verteilungspolitik}, series = {Das Wirtschaftsstudium : wisu ; Zeitschrift f{\"u}r Ausbildung, Pr{\"u}fung, Berufseinstieg und Fortbildung}, volume = {43}, journal = {Das Wirtschaftsstudium : wisu ; Zeitschrift f{\"u}r Ausbildung, Pr{\"u}fung, Berufseinstieg und Fortbildung}, number = {7}, publisher = {Lange}, address = {D{\"u}sseldorf}, issn = {0340-3084}, pages = {907 -- 912}, year = {2014}, language = {de} } @article{EilmannSterckWegneretal.2014, author = {Eilmann, Britta and Sterck, Frank J. and Wegner, L. and de Vries, Sven M. One promising MAE candidate is 197m/gHg with its half-life of 23.8 h and 64.1 h, respectively, and high MAE yield. Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) that are labelled with 197m/gHg could be a helpful tool for radiation treatment of glioblastoma multiforme when infused into the surgical cavity after resection to prevent recurrence. To produce such AuNPs, 197m/gHg was embedded into pristine AuNPs. Two different syntheses were tested starting from irradiated gold containing trace amounts of 197m/gHg. When sodium citrate was used as reducing agent, no 197m/gHg labelled AuNPs were formed, but with tannic acid, 197m/gHg labeled AuNPs were produced. The method was optimized by neutralizing the pH (pH = 7) of the Au/197m/gHg solution, which led to labelled AuNPs with a size of 12.3 ± 2.0 nm as measured by transmission electron microscopy. The labelled AuNPs had a concentration of 50 μg (gold)/mL with an activity of 151 ± 93 kBq/mL (197gHg, time corrected to the end of bombardment).}, language = {en} } @article{Berndt1979, author = {Berndt, Heinz}, title = {Synthese der Sequenz 71—86 des Humanproinsulins, I : Synthese der Sequenz 71—86 als monomeres cyclisches Biscystinpeptidderivat und als Tetra-S-tritylderivat}, series = {Hoppe-Seyler's Zeitschrift f{\"u}r physiologische Chemie}, volume = {360}, journal = {Hoppe-Seyler's Zeitschrift f{\"u}r physiologische Chemie}, number = {1}, issn = {1437-4315}, doi = {10.1515/bchm2.1979.360.1.747}, pages = {747 -- 760}, year = {1979}, language = {de} } @article{FeichtingerEilmannBuchmannetal.2015, author = {Feichtinger, Linda M. and Eilmann, Britta and Buchmann, Nina and Rigling, Andreas}, title = {Trait-specific responses of Scots pine to irrigation on a short vs long time scale}, series = {Tree Physiology}, volume = {35}, journal = {Tree Physiology}, number = {00}, publisher = {Heron}, address = {Victoria, BC}, issn = {1758-4469 (Online)}, doi = {10.1093/treephys/tpu114}, pages = {1 -- 12}, year = {2015}, language = {en} } @article{GrajewskiKoesterTurek2010, author = {Grajewski, Matthias and K{\"o}ster, Michael and Turek, Stefam}, title = {Numerical analysis and implementational aspects of a new multilevel grid deformation method}, series = {Applied Numerical Mathematics}, volume = {60}, journal = {Applied Numerical Mathematics}, number = {8}, publisher = {Elsevier}, address = {Amsterdam}, issn = {0168-9274}, doi = {10.1016/j.apnum.2010.03.017}, pages = {767 -- 781}, year = {2010}, abstract = {Recently, we introduced and mathematically analysed a new method for grid deformation (Grajewski et al., 2009) [15] we call basic deformation method (BDM) here. It generalises the method proposed by Liao et al. (Bochev et al., 1996; Cai et al., 2004; Liao and Anderson, 1992) [4], [6], [20]. In this article, we employ the BDM as core of a new multilevel deformation method (MDM) which leads to vast improvements regarding robustness, accuracy and speed. We achieve this by splitting up the deformation process in a sequence of easier subproblems and by exploiting grid hierarchy. Being of optimal asymptotic complexity, we experience speed-ups up to a factor of 15 in our test cases compared to the BDM. This gives our MDM the potential for tackling large grids and time-dependent problems, where possibly the grid must be dynamically deformed once per time step according to the user's needs. Moreover, we elaborate on implementational aspects, in particular efficient grid searching, which is a key ingredient of the BDM.}, language = {en} } @article{Stulpe2014, author = {Stulpe, Werner}, title = {From the attempt of certain classical reformulations of quantum mechanics to quasi-probability representations}, series = {Journal of Mathematical Physics}, volume = {55}, journal = {Journal of Mathematical Physics}, number = {1}, publisher = {AIP Publishing}, address = {College Park, Md.}, issn = {222-488}, doi = {10.1063/1.4861939}, pages = {Artikel 012109}, year = {2014}, abstract = {The concept of an injective affine embedding of the quantum states into a set of classical states, i.e., into the set of the probability measures on some measurable space, as well as its relation to statistically complete observables is revisited, and its limitation in view of a classical reformulation of the statistical scheme of quantum mechanics is discussed.
