  abstract  = {The light-addressable potentiometric sensor (LAPS) has the unique feature to address different regions of a sensor surface without the need of complex structures. Measurements at different locations on the sensor surface can be performed in a common analyte solution, which distinctly simplifies the fluidic set-up. However, the measurement in a single analyte chamber prevents the application of different drugs or different concentrations of a drug to each measurement spot at the same time as in the case of multi-reservoir-based set-ups. In this work, the authors designed a LAPS-based set-up for cell culture screening that utilises magnetic beads loaded with the endotoxin (lipopolysaccharides, LPS), to generate a spatially distributed gradient of analyte concentration. Different external magnetic fields can be adjusted to move the magnetic beads loaded with a specific drug within the measurement cell. By recording the metabolic activities of a cell layer cultured on top of the LAPS surface, this work shows the possibility to apply different concentrations of a sample along the LAPS measurement spots within a common analyte solution.},

  abstract  = {This work describes the novel combination of the light-addressable electrode (LAE) and the light-addressable potentiometric sensor (LAPS) into a microsystem set-up. Both the LAE as well as the LAPS shares the principle of addressing the active spot by means of a light beam. This enables both systems to manipulate resp. to detect an analyte with a high spatial resolution. Hence, combining both principles into a single set-up enables the active stimulation e.g., by means of electrolysis and a simultaneous observation e.g., the response of an entrapped biological cell by detection of extracellular pH changes. The work will describe the principles of both technologies and the necessary steps to integrate them into a single set-up. Furthermore, examples of application and operation of such systems will be presented.},

  abstract  = {We report on the synthesis and CO gas-sensing properties of mesoporous tin(IV) oxides (SnO2). For the synthesis cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTABr) was used as a structure-directing agent; the resulting SnO2 powders were applied as films to commercially available sensor substrates by drop coating. Nitrogen physisorption shows specific surface areas up to 160 m2·g-1 and mean pore diameters of about 4 nm, as verified by TEM. The film conductance was measured in dependence on the CO concentration in humid synthetic air at a constant temperature of 300 °C. The sensors show a high sensitivity at low CO concentrations and turn out to be largely insensitive towards changes in the relative humidity. We compare the materials with commercially available SnO2-based sensors.},

Aeroux versucht diese Assoziation zu {\"u}berwinden und Luftschiffe in der Gegenwart zu verankern. Durch die gezielte, psychologisch inspirierte Gestaltung soll Sicherheit und Ruhe vermittelt werden, sollen spezifische Assoziationen geweckt werden, die weg f{\"u}hren von Bildern vergangener Tage eines brennenden Luftschiffs, um so Zeppeline als klimafreundlichere Alternative zum Flugzeug wieder ins Spiel zu bringen. Aeroux ist ein hybrides Verkehrsmittel, dass in der Lage ist, sowohl G{\"u}ter als auch Personen in verschiedenen Szenarien zu transportieren. Zeppeline bauchen keine befestigten Landebahnen oder Pisten. Regionen, die {\"u}ber Straßen schwer zug{\"a}nglich sind, k{\"o}nnen so in den Warenhandel integriert werden. Gleichermaßen k{\"o}nnen aber auch Meschen in Regionen bef{\"o}rdert werden, die durch Straßen oder Landebahnen nicht oder unzureichend erschlossen sind. Dar{\"u}ber hinaus kann Aeroux ein Ansatz sein die Unvertr{\"a}glichkeit von Fliegen und Klimaschutz aufzul{\"o}sen. Nicht zuletzt liegt in der gem{\"a}chlichen Art der Bewegung ein besonderer Zauber. Reisen k{\"o}nnten einen neuen Charakter erhalten: durch die großen Fensterfronten und die geringe Flugh{\"o}he k{\"o}nnen Landschaften auf der Reise neu wahrgenommen werden, der Weg wird wieder Teil des Reisens. Die Arbeit ist in erster Linie eine Auseinandersetzung mit der Form. Wie wirkt Form, wie lassen sich Assoziationen wecken, lenken, leiten. Wie kann technischer Anspruch, gesellschaftliche Bedingung, {\"o}kologisches Bewusstsein und nicht zuletzt Genuss in einem Objekt resultieren. Digitale und analoge Fertigung spielen im Zuge der Arbeit ineinander. So entstand das Design der Gondel, nach ersten h{\"a}ndischen Skizzen, digital. Das Model der Gondel wurde aus diesen Daten 3D gedruckt und die Darstellung der Tragh{\"u}lle ebenfalls auf Grundlage dieser Daten gelasert. Aeroux m{\"o}chte Lust auf alternatives Sehen, Denken und Handeln machen. Es gilt viel zu bewegen.},

  abstract  = {Using scenarios is vital in identifying and specifying measures for successfully transforming the energy system. Such transformations can be particularly challenging and require the support of a broader set of stakeholders. Otherwise, there will be opposition in the form of reluctance to adopt the necessary technologies. Usually, processes for considering stakeholders' perspectives are very time-consuming and costly. In particular, there are uncertainties about how to deal with modifications in the scenarios. In principle, new consulting processes will be required. In our study, we show how multi-criteria decision analysis can be used to analyze stakeholders' attitudes toward transition paths. Since stakeholders differ regarding their preferences and time horizons, we employ a multi-criteria decision analysis approach to identify which stakeholders will support or oppose a transition path. We provide a flexible template for analyzing stakeholder preferences toward transition paths. This flexibility comes from the fact that our multi-criteria decision aid-based approach does not involve intensive empirical work with stakeholders.   abstract  = {The steel industry in the European Union (EU), important for the economy as a whole, faces various challenges. These are inter alia volatile prices for relevant input factors, uncertainties concerning the regulation of CO₂-emissions and market shocks caused by the recently introduced additional import duties in the US, which is an important sales market. We examine primary and secondary effects of these challenges on the steel industry in the EU and their impacts on European and global level. Developing and using a suitable meta-model, we analyze the competitiveness of key steel producing countries with respect to floor prices depending on selected cost factors and draw conclusions on the impacts in the trade of steel on emissions, energy demand, on the involvement of developing countries in the value chain as well on the need for innovations to avoid relocations of production. Hence, our study contributes to the assessment of sustainable industrial development, which is aimed by the Sustainability Development Goal "Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation countries". By applying information on country-specific Human Development Indexes (reflecting aspects of life expectancy, education, and per capita income), we show that relocating energy-intensive industries from the EU may not only increase global energy demand and CO₂-emissions, but may also be to the disadvantage of developing countries.},

  abstract  = {Objectives To assess the image quality of T2-weighted (T2w) magnetic resonance imaging of the prostate and the visibility of prostate cancer at 7 Tesla (T). Materials \& methods Seventeen prostate cancer patients underwent T2w imaging at 7T with only an external transmit/receive array coil. Three radiologists independently scored images for image quality, visibility of anatomical structures, and presence of artefacts. Krippendorff's alpha and weighted kappa statistics were used to assess inter-observer agreement. Visibility of prostate cancer lesions was assessed by directly linking the T2w images to the confirmed location of prostate cancer on histopathology. Results T2w imaging at 7T was achievable with 'satisfactory' (3/5) to 'good' (4/5) quality. Visibility of anatomical structures was predominantly scored as 'satisfactory' (3/5) and 'good' (4/5). If artefacts were present, they were mostly motion artefacts and, to a lesser extent, aliasing artefacts and noise. Krippendorff's analysis revealed an α = 0.44 between three readers for the overall image quality scores. Clinically significant cancer lesions in both peripheral zone and transition zone were visible at 7T. Conclusion T2w imaging with satisfactory to good quality can be routinely acquired, and cancer lesions were visible in patients with prostate cancer at 7T using only an external transmit/receive body array coil.},

In „Traumspiel" werden Menschen unwissentlich nachts in ein Traumland entf{\"u}hrt, wo ihnen die Tr{\"a}ume als Marionettentheater vorgespielt werden. Erz{\"a}hlt wird die Geschichte eines Kindes, das auf diese Weise je einen Traum und Albtraum erlebt. Die Illustrationen sind mit Tusche gemalt. Durch die Beschr{\"a}nkung auf drei Farben werden verschiedene Aspekte der Geschichte visuell unterschieden. Entstanden ist eine Graphic Novel, in der alle konzeptionellen und gestalterischen Entscheidungen aufeinander aufbauen, um eine spannende Geschichte zu erz{\"a}hlen.},

Das Ziel dieses Projektes ist es daher, eine 3D-K{\"o}rperscan-App zu erstellen. Mit dieser ist es m{\"o}glich, einen auf die eigenen K{\"o}rpermaße angepassten Avatar zu erstellen und eine angepasste Stilberatung f{\"u}r die jeweilige K{\"o}rperform angeboten zu bekommen. Zudem gibt es eine Applikation in Form eines Software Development Kits, welches in Onlineshops eingebunden werden kann. Mit Hilfe der Applikation bekommen Konsumenten die richtige Gr{\"o}ße auch beim Onlineshopping angezeigt und t{\"a}tigen so weniger Fehlk{\"a}ufe. Dies bringt nicht nur Vorteile f{\"u}r die Umwelt mit sich und den Unternehmen eine massive Kostenersparnis durch die Einsparung von Retouren, M{\"u}ll und Personal, sondern schlussendlich auch eine zufriedenere Kundschaft.},

Mehr als 80 \% der Rahmen werden nach der Nutzung wieder nach Asien zur{\"u}ckgeschickt und landen dort auf riesigen Fahrradfriedh{\"o}fen. Das Kinderfahrradkonzept "KiBix" wirkt diesem Problem entgegen, indem es eine Alternative f{\"u}r das regelm{\"a}ßige Kaufen von neuen Kinderfahrr{\"a}dern bietet. Im Fokus stehen der Kinderfahrradrahmen und die Gabel aus Kunststoff, welche im Spritzgussverfahren produziert werden. Das City-Bike ist in ein Abo-Sharing-System mit R{\"a}dern in unterschiedlichen Gr{\"o}ßen eingebettet, welches durch eine monatliche Geb{\"u}hr wie das Eigene genutzt werden kann. Der hohlgespritzte Rahmen erm{\"o}glicht die Integration kleiner Boxen im Inneren, in denen Kinder ihre pers{\"o}nlichen "Sch{\"a}tze" mitnehmen k{\"o}nnen. Somit vereint das Konzept die drei Segmente Material/Produktion, Sharing-System und die Mitnahme des "Schatzes". "KiBix" gibt Kindern in Zeiten der Digitalisierung und der globalen Erw{\"a}rmung die M{\"o}glichkeit, selbstbestimmt und nachhaltig die Welt zu erkunden.},

  abstract  = {Landslides, rock falls or related subaerial and subaqueous mass slides can generate devastating impulse waves in adjacent waterbodies. Such waves can occur in lakes and fjords, or due to glacier calving in bays or at steep ocean coastlines. Infrastructure and residential houses along coastlines of those waterbodies are often situated on low elevation terrain, and are potentially at risk from inundation. Impulse waves, running up a uniform slope and generating an overland flow over an initially dry adjacent horizontal plane, represent a frequently found scenario, which needs to be better understood for disaster planning and mitigation. This study presents a novel set of large-scale flume test focusing on solitary waves propagating over a 1:14.5 slope and breaking onto a horizontal section. Examining the characteristics of overland flow, this study gives, for the first time, insight into the fundamental process of overland flow of a broken solitary wave: its shape and celerity, as well as its momentum when wave breaking has taken place beforehand.},
