  abstract  = {The emerging environmental issues due to the use of fossil resources are encouraging the exploration of new renewable resources. Biomasses are attracting more interest due to the low environmental impacts, low costs, and high availability on earth. In this scenario, green biorefineries are a promising platform in which green biomasses are used as feedstock. Grasses are mainly composed of cellulose and hemicellulose, and lignin is available in a small amount. In this work, a perennial ryegrass was used as feedstock to develop a green bio-refinery platform. Firstly, the grass was mechanically pretreated, thus obtaining a press juice and a press cake fraction. The press juice has high nutritional values and can be employed as part of fermentation media. The press cake can be employed as a substrate either in enzymatic hydrolysis or in solid-state fermentation. The overall aim of this work was to demonstrate different applications of both the liquid and the solid fractions. For this purpose, the filamentous fungus A. niger and the yeast Y. lipolythica were selected for their ability to produce citric acid. Finally, the possibility was assessed to use the press juice as part of fermentation media to cultivate S. cerevisiae and lactic acid bacteria for ethanol and lactic acid fermentation.},

  abstract  = {During the development process of a complex technical product, one widely used and important technique is accelerated testing where the applied stress on a component is chosen to exceed the reference stress, i.e. the stress encountered in field operation, in order to reduce the time to failure. For that, the reference stress has to be known. Since a complex technical product may fail regarding numerous failure modes, stress in general is highly dimensional rather than scalar. In addition, customers use their products individually, i.e. field operation should be described by a distribution rather than by one scalar stress value. In this paper, a way to span the customer usage space is shown. It allows the identification of worst case reference stress profiles in significantly reduced dimensions with minimal loss of information. The application example shows that even for a complex product like a combustion engine, stress information can be compressed significantly. With low measurement effort it turned out that only three reference stress cycles were sufficient to cover a broad range of customer stress variety.},

  abstract  = {Gamification applications are on the rise in the manufacturing sector to customize working scenarios, offer user-specific feedback, and provide personalized learning offerings. Commonly, different sensors are integrated into work environments to track workers' actions. Game elements are selected according to the work task and users' preferences. However, implementing gamified workplaces remains challenging as different data sources must be established, evaluated, and connected. Developers often require information from several areas of the companies to offer meaningful gamification strategies for their employees. Moreover, work environments and the associated support systems are usually not flexible enough to adapt to personal needs. Digital twins are one primary possibility to create a uniform data approach that can provide semantic information to gamification applications. Frequently, several digital twins have to interact with each other to provide information about the workplace, the manufacturing process, and the knowledge of the employees. This research aims to create an overview of existing digital twin approaches for digital support systems and presents a concept to use digital twins for gamified support and training systems. The concept is based upon the Reference Architecture Industry 4.0 (RAMI 4.0) and includes information about the whole life cycle of the assets. It is applied to an existing gamified training system and evaluated in the Industry 4.0 model factory by an example of a handle mounting.},

  abstract  = {The demand of replacements for inoperable organs exceeds the amount of available organ transplants. Therefore, tissue engineering developed as a multidisciplinary field of research for autologous in-vitro organs. Such three dimensional tissue constructs request the application of a bioreactor. The UREPLACE bioreactor is used to grow cells on tubular collagen scaffolds OPTIMAIX Sponge 1 with a maximal length of 7 cm, in order to culture in vitro an adequate ureter replacement. With a rotating unit, (urothelial) cells can be placed homogeneously on the inner scaffold surface. Furthermore, a stimulation is combined with this bioreactor resulting in an orientation of muscle cells. These culturing methods request a precise control of several parameters and actuators. A combination of a LabBox and the suitable software LabVision is used to set and conduct parameters like rotation angles, velocities, pressures and other important cell culture values. The bioreactor was tested waterproof successfully. Furthermore, the temperature controlling was adjusted to 37 °C and the CO2 - concentration regulated to 5 \%. Additionally, the pH step responses of several substances showed a perfect functioning of the designed flow chamber. All used software was tested and remained stable for several days.},

Flugphysikalisch und energetisch ist diese Technik nur dann sinnvoll, wenn es zwingende Gr{\"u}nde gibt (z.B. Rettungseins{\"a}tze), daher wird der flugphysikalische Hintergrund prinzipiell erl{\"a}utert. Es werden einige aktuelle Lufttransportkonzepte f{\"u}r eine urbane Personenbef{\"o}rderung vorgestellt. Sollte es verst{\"a}rkt zu Lufttransport {\"u}ber St{\"a}dten kommen, m{\"u}ssen betroffene Luftr{\"a}ume geordnet und {\"u}berwacht werden. Die Arbeit „UN|SEEN" setzt sich mit dieser schwierigen Thematik und den Menschen wie auch ihrer Geschichte und ihrem Leben auseinander. Im Fotobuch sind hierf{\"u}r verschiedene an PTBS erkrankte Soldaten im Alltag fotografisch begleitet und interviewt wurden. Ebenso sind Fotos aus deren Bundeswehrzeit und aus Eins{\"a}tzen im Buch eingebaut, welche als „Flashbacks" dienen. „UN|SEEN" soll den Betrachter mit diesem Thema konfrontieren, eine neue Sichtweise er{\"o}ffnen und zum Handeln anregen.},

  abstract  = {Das Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit ist die Specklereduktion bei der Infrarotlaser-gest{\"u}tzten abbildenden Ferndetektion von TNT-Oberfl{\"a}chenkontaminationen. F{\"u}r die Detektion wird die Probenoberfl{\"a}che mit einem abstimmbaren Quantenkaskadenlaser bei verschiedenen Wellenzahlen im Spektralbereich von 1340cm-1 bis 1380cm-1 bestrahlt, w{\"a}hrend eine Infrarot-Kamera Bilder der bestrahlten Fl{\"a}che aufzeichnet. Diese Bilder werden dann so verarbeitet, dass im Ausgabebild die chemisch spezifische TNT-Absorption durch eine {\"A}nderung der Helligkeit {\"o}rtlich aufgel{\"o}st erkennbar werden. Da koh{\"a}rente Strahlung, welche beispielsweise an optisch rauen Oberfl{\"a}chen reflektiert wird, aufgrund der stochastischen Verteilung der Oberfl{\"a}chenrautiefe mit der einfallenden Strahlung lateral unterschiedlich interferiert, entsteht ein „Rauschen" in der aufgezeichneten Strahlungsleistungsverteilung, das sog. Speckle-Ph{\"a}nomen. Die Empfindlichkeit der oben skizzierten Lasergest{\"u}tzten Messtechnik wird im Wesentlichen durch diesen Effekt limitiert. Um die durch Laserspeckles verursachten Rauschanteile zu reduzieren, gibt es verschiedene M{\"o}glichkeiten. Durch Reduktion von zeitlicher und r{\"a}umlicher Koh{\"a}renz der Strahlung wird deren Interferenzf{\"a}higkeit reduziert und durch Variieren des Specklemusters w{\"a}hrend einer Bildaufzeichnung f{\"u}hren Mittelungen unkorrelierter Rauschanteile zu einer Specklekontrastreduktion. Letztere M{\"o}glichkeit resultiert daraus, dass Laserspeckles statistisch durch die Familie der Gammaverteilungen beschrieben werden k{\"o}nnen. Demnach verbessert sich das Signal-zu-Rausch-Verh{\"a}ltnis mit der Anzahl gemittelter, unkorrelierter Rauschmuster proportional zur Wurzel dieser Anzahl. Ein im MIR-Spektralbereich umsetzbarer Ansatz, der all diese M{\"o}glichkeiten ber{\"u}cksichtigt, wurde bereits 1971 von Lowenthal und Joyeaux vorgeschlagen und im Rahmen der vorliegenden Arbeit f{\"u}r den infraroten Spektralbereich adaptiert. Dazu wird die Strahlung mit zwei CVD-Diamant-Wafern moduliert; ein Wafer ist dabei station{\"a}r und der andere rotiert mit ca. 70Hz. In der vorliegenden Arbeit konnte mit diesem Ansatz eine Verbesserung des Signal-zu-Rausch-Verh{\"a}ltnisses in der betrachteten Strahlungsleistungs¬verteilung von urspr{\"u}nglich 3 auf etwa 45 erzielt werden. So konnten erstmals TNT-Kontaminationen von bis zu 10µg/cm² in einem Abstand von 5m abbildend nachgewiesen werden. Dies entspricht der Kontamination durch einen mit TNT leicht verunreinigten Fingerabdruck.},
