In diesem Beitrag werden die Technologien und Anwendungsperspektiven für HD Medien-Dienstleistungen beschrieben. Der Beitrag entstand im Rahmen der Konferenz Medienproduktion „Expansion und Mobilität“ am 7. Dezember 2007. Der Beitrag beschreibt Geschäftsmodelle, Technologien und neue Anwendungen für High Quality Streaming. Neben der Präsentation wurden auch die Medienproduktionen der unterschiedlichen HQ-Mediendienste vorgeführt. Die Mediendienste sind im Rahmen der Forschungsarbeit High Quality Media Services des Studiengangs Communication and Multimedia Design (Fachbereich Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik) an der Fachhochschule Aachen entstanden. Eine Marktevaluierung der deutschen und niederländischen Märkte, internationale Expertengesprächen sowie ein Prototypen HDMediaservices bilden die Basis der Forschungsarbeit. Die Mediendienste stehen zur Demonstration unter dem Link media.fh-aachen.de bereit. HQ-Mediendienste bedeuten: Gestochen scharfe Bilder in High Definition, volle Klänge in Surround und das über das Internet, wo doch gerade mal die briefmarkengroßen Bilder mit unscharfen Konturen und krätzenden Klängen der heutigen Portale wie YouTube Alltag sind.

N2  - The propagation of mechanical waves in plates of isotropic elastic material is investigated. After a short introduction to the understanding of focussing of stress waves in a plate with a curved boundary the method of characteristics is applied to a plate of hyperelastic material. Using this method the propagation of acceleration waves is discussed. Based on this a numerical difference scheme is developed for solving initial-boundary-value problems and applied to two examples: propagation of a point disturbance in a homogeneously finitely strained non-linear elastic plate and geometrical focussing in al linear elastic plate.

T1  - High-temperature MEMS heater platforms: long-term performance of metal and semiconductor heater materials
N2  - Micromachined thermal heater platforms offer low electrical power consumption and high modulation speed, i.e. properties which are advantageous for realizing nondispersive infrared (NDIR) gas- and liquid monitoring systems. In this paper, we report on investigations on silicon-on-insulator (SOI) based infrared (IR) emitter devices heated by employing different kinds of metallic and semiconductor heater materials. Our results clearly reveal the superior high-temperature performance of semiconductor over metallic heater materials. Long-term stable emitter operation in the vicinity of 1300 K could be attained using heavily antimony-doped tin dioxide (SnO2:Sb) heater elements.

(S. 28-54) Zusammenfassung [des Autors]: Nach den spektakulären Hochwasserereignissen an Rhein, Elbe und Donau hat die Deutsche Vereinigung für Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfall e. V. (DWA) einen Fachausschuss zur Erstellung eines Merkblattes M 103 „Hochwasserschutz für Abwasseranlagen“ berufen. Das Merkblatt zeigt in den Kapiteln Konzeption, Planungsgrundsätze und Hochwassermanagement eine strukturierte Vorgehensweise zur bestmöglichen Vorsorge zum Schutz der Abwasseranlagen im Hochwasserfall. Entsprechend den Forderungen des im Jahr 2005 verabschiedeten Gesetzes zur Verbesserung des vorbeugenden Hochwasserschutzes, floss in das Wasserhaushaltsgesetz unter anderem die allgemeine Verpflichtung jedes potentiell vom Hochwasser Betroffenen ein, geeignete Schutzmaßnahmen zur Schadensminimierung zu treffen. Hierbei werden speziell die Wasserversorgung und die Abwasserbeseitigung erwähnt. Im DWA-M 103 wir detailliert dargestellt wie und mit welchem Aufwand die Abwasseranlagen zu überprüfen sind und wie hierzu ein Hochwasserschutzkonzept erstellt werden kann. Zusätzlich werden Hinweise für die Planung von Abwasseranlagen in hochwassergefährdeten Bereichen gegeben, die den störungsfreien Betrieb im Hochwasserfall gewährleisten sollen. Schlussendlich werden das Hochwassermanagement und der Betrieb dargestellt und hier wichtige Anregungen gegeben im Ernstfall ausreichend vorbereitet zu sein. Das DWA-M 103 richtet sich in erster Linie an die Betreiber und Planer von Abwasseranlagen. Jedoch werden hier auch, gerade durch die Vielzahl von Checklisten, Kommunen Denkanstöße und Anregungen für die Hochwasservorsorge/-schutz von öffentlichen Gebäuden und Einrichtungen gegeben.

N2  - As the potential of a Next Generation Network (NGN) is recognized, telecommunication companies consider switching to it. Although the implementation of an NGN seems to be merely a modification of the network infrastructure, it may trigger or require changes in the whole company and even influence the company strategy. To capture the effects of NGN we propose a framework based on concepts of business engineering and technical recommendations for the introduction of NGN technology. The specific design of solutions for the layers "Strategy", "Processes" and "Information Systems" as well as their interdependencies are an essential characteristic of the developed framework. We have per-formed a case study on NGN implementation and observed that all layers captured by our framework are influenced by the introduction of an NGN.

standard (IEC 62305-2) considers structures, which may
endanger environment. In these cases, the loss is not limited to
the structure itself, which is valid for usual structures. In the past
(Edition 1) this danger was simply taken into account by a special
hazard factor, multiplying the existing risk for the structure with
a number. Now, in the edition 2, we add to the risk for the
structure itself a “second risk” due to the losses outside the
structure. The losses outside can be treated independently from
what occurs inside. This is a major advantage to analyze the risk
for sensitive structures, like chemical plants, nuclear plants, or
structures containing explosives, etc. In this paper, the existing
procedure given by the European version EN 62305-2 Ed.2 is
further developed and applied to a few structures.

N2  - Digital Shadows as the aggregation, linkage and abstraction of data relating to physical objects are a central vision for the future of production. However, the majority of current research takes a technocentric approach, in which the human actors in production play a minor role. Here, the authors present an alternative anthropocentric perspective that highlights the potential and main challenges of extending the concept of Digital Shadows to humans. Following future research methodology, three prospections that illustrate use cases for Human Digital Shadows across organizational and hierarchical levels are developed: human-robot collaboration for manual work, decision support and work organization, as well as human resource management. Potentials and challenges are identified using separate SWOT analyses for the three prospections and common themes are emphasized in a concluding discussion.
