N2  - We present the production of 58mCo on a small, 13 MeV medical cyclotron utilizing a siphon style liquid target system. Different concentrated iron(III)-nitrate solutions of natural isotopic distribution were irradiated at varying initial pressures and subsequently separated by solid phase extraction chromatography. The radio cobalt (58m/gCo and 56Co) was successfully produced with saturation activities of (0.35 ± 0.03) MBq μA−1 for 58mCo with a separation recovery of (75 ± 2) % of cobalt after one separation step utilizing LN-resin.

N2  - Sieht man sich die umfangreichen Betätigungsfelder für einen Projektsteuerer in den Publikationen der einschlägigen Verbände und der Anbieter etwas genauer an, so wird man feststellen, das nach der eigentlichen Projektvorbereitungsphase mit Wirtschaftlichkeitsberechnungen und Sicherstellung der Finanzierung erhebliche Überschneidungen zu den in der HOAI ausgewiesenen Tätigkeiten der weiteren Planungsbeteiligten, insbesondere des Gebäudeplaners, also des Architekten bestehen. Geht man nun davon aus, dass der Bauherr diese Leistungen nicht doppelt bezahlen will, wäre die logische Konsequenz aus der vollumfänglichen Beauftragung eines Projektsteuerers die Verminderung des Auftragsumfangs an den Architekten, verbunden mit einer Honorarminderung für den Architekten. Damit bricht dem Architekten bei eingehender Betrachtung am Ende mehr als die Hälfte seiner Tätigkeit und damit seiner Grundlage zur Honorarerzielung weg. Der Bauherr muss in erster Linie seine Wünsche definieren und sein Budget bestimmen. Er beauftragt die Planungsbeteiligten und nimmt deren Leistungen entgegen. Sein Problem dabei ist, dass er diese Leistung nicht beurteilen kann, weder in Bezug auf deren Vollständigkeit, noch in Bezug auf deren Inhalt. Hier steht der Projektsteuerer im eigentlichen Sinne. Er muss wissen, was die Planungsbeteiligten für ihr Geld zu leisten haben und wie er diese Leistungen durchsetzen kann. Letztendlich sorgt er dann aber auch dafür, das die Architektenleistungen, also Planung und Ausschreibungsunterlagen vom Bauherrn verstanden werden. Warum aber kann der Architekt selbst seine Leistungen und damit den Nachweis der Leistungserfüllung nicht selbst dem Bauherrn verständlich und damit glaubhaft machen? Es liegt also letztlich in der Hand der Architekten, ob ihr Betätigungsfeld weiter durch in die Planung und Gestaltung eingreifende, zusätzliche Projektsteuerer und Generalunternehmer eingeengt oder sogar weggenommen werden kann. Die Frage, wer das Baugeschehen steuert und lenkt bleibt solange ungeklärt, wie die Architekten dieses Tätigkeitsfeld des Architekten im Baubetrieb weiterhin nur unzulänglich ausfüllen können und wollen.

N2  - Experimental determination of the cross sections of proton capture on radioactive nuclei is extremely difficult. Therefore, it is of substantial interest for the understanding of the production of the p-nuclei. For the first time, a direct measurement of proton-capture cross sections on stored, radioactive ions became possible in an energy range of interest for nuclear astrophysics. The experiment was performed at the Experimental Storage Ring (ESR) at GSI by making use of a sensitive method to measure (p,γ) and (p,n) reactions in inverse kinematics. These reaction channels are of high relevance for the nucleosyn-thesis processes in supernovae, which are among the most violent explosions in the universe and are not yet well understood. The cross section of the ¹¹⁸Te(p,γ) reaction has been measured at energies of 6 MeV/u and 7 MeV/u. The heavy ions interacted with a hydrogen gas jet target. The radiative recombination process of the fully stripped ¹¹⁸Te ions and electrons from the hydrogen target was used as a luminosity monitor. An overview of the experimental method and preliminary results from the ongoing analysis will be presented.

N2  - Automated driving is now possible in diverse road and traffic conditions. However, there are still situations that automated vehicles cannot handle safely and efficiently. In this case, a Transition of Control (ToC) is necessary so that the driver takes control of the driving. Executing a ToC requires the driver to get full situation awareness of the driving environment. If the driver fails to get back the control in a limited time, a Minimum Risk Maneuver (MRM) is executed to bring the vehicle into a safe state (e.g., decelerating to full stop). The execution of ToCs requires some time and can cause traffic disruption and safety risks that increase if several vehicles execute ToCs/MRMs at similar times and in the same area. This study proposes to use novel C-ITS traffic management measures where the infrastructure exploits V2X communications to assist Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs) in the execution of ToCs. The infrastructure can suggest a spatial distribution of ToCs, and inform vehicles of the locations where they could execute a safe stop in case of MRM. This paper reports the first field operational tests that validate the feasibility and quantify the benefits of the proposed infrastructure-assisted ToC and MRM management. The paper also presents the CAV and roadside infrastructure prototypes implemented and used in the trials. N2  - Plate osteosynthesis of displaced proximal phalangeal neck fractures of the hand allows early mobilization due to a stable internal fixation. Nevertheless, joint stiffness—because of soft tissue irritation—represents a common complication leading to high complication rates. Del Pinal et al. recently reported promising clinical results for a new, minimally invasive fixation technique with a cannulated headless intramedullary compression screw. Hence, the aim of this study was to compare plate fixation of proximal phalangeal neck fractures to less two less invasive techniques: Crossed k-wire fixation and intramedullary screw fixation. We hypothesized that these fixation techniques provide inferior stability when compared to plate osteosynthesis.

N2  - Ein viel versprechender erneuerbarer Rohstoff für die Produktion von Chemikalien und Treibstoffen ist Lignocellulose aus pflanzlicher Biomasse. Die darin enthaltenen Zucker können mittels enzymatischer Hydrolyse freigesetzt und fermentativ zu Ethanol umgesetzt werden. Ein interessanter Ansatz ist dabei die simultane Verzuckerung und Fermentation. Hefen und Enzyme haben mit 30 °C bzw. 50 °C zwar unterschiedliche Temperaturoptima, es konnte aber gezeigt werden, dass auch bei den niedrigeren Temperaturen eine Umsetzung der Cellulose zu Glucose erfolgt, wenn auch langsamer als bei optimalen Bedingungen. Außerdem konnte in Vorversuchen gezeigt werden, dass Ethanol in den zu erwartenden Konzentrationen keinen Einfluss auf die enzymatische Umsetzung hat.

N2  - Additive Manufacturing durch Aufschmelzen von Metallpulvern hat sich auf breiter Front als Herstellverfahren, auch für Endprodukte, etabliert. Besonders für die Variante des Selective Laser Melting (SLM) sind Anwendungen in der Zahntechnik bereits weit verbreitet und der Einsatz in sensitiven Branchen wie der Luftfahrt ist in greifbare Nähe gerückt. Deshalb werden auch vermehrt Anstrengungen unternommen, um bisher nicht verarbeitete Materialien zu qualifizieren. Dies sind vorzugsweise Nicht-Eisen- und Edelmetalle, die sowohl eine sehr hohe Reflektivität als auch eine sehr gute Wärmeleitfähigkeit aufweisen – beides Eigenschaften, die die Beherrschung des Laser-Schmelzprozesses erschweren und nur kleine Prozessfenster zulassen. Die Arbeitsgruppe SLM des Lehr- und Forschungsgebietes Hochleistungsverfahren der Fertigungstechnik hat sich unter der Randbedingung einer kleinen und mit geringer Laserleistung ausgestatteten SLM Maschine der Aufgabe gewidmet und am Beispiel von Silber die Parameterfelder für Einzelspuren und wenig komplexe Geometrien systematisch untersucht. Die Arbeiten wurden von FEM Simulationen begleitet und durch metallographische Untersuchungen verifiziert. Die Ergebnisse bilden die Grundlage zur schnellen Parameterfindung bei komplexen Geometrien und bei Veränderungen der Zusammensetzung, wie sie bei zukünftigen Legierungen zu erwarten sind. Die Ergebnisse werden exemplarisch auf unterschiedliche Geometrien angewandt und entsprechende Bauteile gezeigt.
N2  - Additive manufacturing by melting of metal powders is a method that has been established even for the manufacturing of final products. In particular, Selective Laser Melting (SLM) is currently applied for prosthetic dentistry. In the near future, this technology will access sensitive industries like aerospace engineering. This leads to the need to process new materials. Therefore, especially non-ferrous metals and noble metals must be determined and qualified. These materials have in common a very high reflectivity and an excellent thermal conductivity. In general, these two properties counteract the control of the melt pool and contribute to very narrow process windows. The “SLM” research team of the Aachen University of Applied Science, AcUAS (FH Aachen) systematically investigated process parameter fields for silver. The work focused on a small SLM desktop machine with comparably low laser power. The results are verified using FEA and metallographic inspections and will support future set-ups for complex geometries. Furthermore, the obtained parameter fields are applied to make different geometric objects and to manufactured parts, which are presented.
