N2  - As part of the transnational research project EDITOR, a parabolic trough collector system (PTC) with concrete thermal energy storage (C-TES) was installed and commissioned in Limassol, Cyprus. The system is located on the premises of the beverage manufacturer KEAN Soft Drinks Ltd. and its function is to supply process steam for the factory's pasteurisation process [1]. Depending on the factory's seasonally varying capacity for beverage production, the solar system delivers between 5 and 25 % of the total steam demand. In combination with the C-TES, the solar plant can supply process steam on demand before sunrise or after sunset. Furthermore, the C-TES compensates the PTC during the day in fluctuating weather conditions. The parabolic trough collector as well as the control and oil handling unit is designed and manufactured by Protarget AG, Germany. The C-TES is designed and produced by CADE Soluciones de Ingeniería, S.L., Spain. In the focus of this paper is the description of the operational experience with the PTC, C-TES and boiler during the commissioning and operation phase. Additionally, innovative optimisation measures are presented.

N2  - The Passivhaus building standard is a concept developed for the realization of energy-efficient and economical buildings with a simultaneous high utilization comfort under European climate conditions. Major elements of the Passivhaus concept are a high thermal insulation of the external walls, the use of heat and/or solar shading glazing as well as an airtight building envelope in combination with energy-efficient technical building installations and heating or cooling generators, such as an efficient energy-recovery in the building air-conditioning. The objective of this research project is the inquiry to determine the parameters or constraints under which the Passivhaus concept can be implemented under the arid climate conditions in the Arabian Peninsula to achieve an energy-efficient and economical building with high utilization comfort. In cooperation between the Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC), Barwa Real Estate (BRE) and Kahramaa the first Passivhaus was constructed in Qatar and on the Arabian Peninsula in 2013. The Solar-Institut Jülich of Aachen University of Applied Science supports the Qatar Green Building Council with a dynamic building and equipment simulation of the Passivhaus and the neighbouring reference building. This includes simulation studies with different component configurations for the building envelope and different control strategies for heating or cooling systems as well as the air conditioning of buildings to find an energetic-economical optimum. Part of these analyses is the evaluation of the energy efficiency of the used energy recovery system in the Passivhaus air-conditioning and identification of possible energy-saving effects by the use of a bypass function integrated in the heat exchanger. In this way it is expected that on an annual basis the complete electricity demand of the building can be covered by the roof-integrated PV generator.

Die Vereinfachungen betreffen die Beschaffung der Daten und Modelle für Details der Lastgeschichte und des Stoffverhaltens. Anders als die klassische Behandlung nichtlinearer Probleme der Strukturmechanik führt die Methode auf Optimierungsprobleme. Diese sind bei realistischen FEM-Modellen sehr groß. Das hat die industrielle Anwendung der Traglast- und Einspielanalysen stark verzögert. Diese Situation wird durch das Brite-EuRam Projekt LISA grundlegend geändert. Die Autoren möchten der Europäischen Kommission an dieser Stelle für die Förderung ausdrücklich danken. In LISA entsteht auf der Basis des industriellen FEM-Programms PERMAS ein Verfahren zur direkten Berechnung der Tragfähigkeit duktiler Strukturen. Damit kann der Betriebsbereich von Komponenten und Bauwerken auf den plastischen Bereich erweitert werden, ohne den Aufwand gegenüber elastischen Analysen wesentlich zu erhöhen. Die beachtlichen Rechenzeitgewinne erlauben Parameterstudien und die Berechnung von Interaktionsdiagrammen, die einen schnellen Überblick über mögliche Betriebsbereiche vermitteln. Es zeigt sich, daß abhängig von der Komponente und ihren Belastungen teilweise entscheidende Sicherheitsgewinne zur Erweiterung der Betriebsbereiche erzielt werden können. Das Vorgehen erfordert vom Anwender oft ein gewisses Umdenken. Es werden keine Spannungen berechnet, um damit Sicherheit und Lebensdauer zu interpretieren. Statt dessen berechnet man direkt die gesuchte Sicherheit. Der Post-Prozessor wird nur noch zur Modell- und Rechenkontrolle benötigt. Das Vorgehen ist änhlich der Stabilitätsanalyse (Knicken, Beulen). Durch namhafte industrielle Projektpartner werden Validierung und die Anwendbarkeit auf eine breite Palette technischer Probleme garantiert. Die ebenfalls in LISA geplante Zuverlässigkeitsanalyse ist erst auf der Basis direkter Verfahren effektiv möglich. Ohne Traglast- und Einspielanalyse ist plastische Strukturoptimierung auch heute kaum durchführbar.

N2  - A new and simple method for nanostructuring using conventional photolithography and layer expansion or pattern-size reduction technique is presented, which can further be applied for the fabrication of different nanostructures and nano-devices. The method is based on the conversion of a photolithographically patterned metal layer to a metal-oxide mask with improved pattern-size resolution using thermal oxidation. With this technique, the pattern size can be scaled down to several nanometer dimensions. The proposed method is experimentally demonstrated by preparing nanostructures with different configurations and layouts, like circles, rectangles, trapezoids, “fluidic-channel”-, “cantilever”- and meander-type structures.

Die Vereinfachungen betreffen die Beschaffung der Daten und Modelle für Details der Lastgeschichte und des Stoffverhaltens. Eine FEM-basierte Traglast- und Einspielanalyse für ideal plastisches Material wurde auf ein kinematisch verfestigendes Materialgesetz erweitert und in das Finite Element Programm PERMAS implementiert. In einem einfachen Zug-Torsionsexperiment wurde eine Hohlprobe mit konstanter Torsion und zyklischer Zugbelastung beansprucht, um die neue Implementierung zu verifizieren. Es konnte gezeigt werden, dass die Einspielanalyse gut mit den experimentellen Ergebnissen übereinstimmt. Bei Verfestigung lassen sich wesentlich größere Sicherheiten nachweisen. Dieses Potential bedarf weiterer experimenteller Absicherung. Parallel dazu ist die Eisnpieltheorie auf fortschrittliche Verfestigungsansätze zu erweitern.

N2  - Clearance of blood components and fluid drainage play a crucial role in subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) and post hemorrhagic hydrocephalus (PHH). With the involvement of interstitial fluid (ISF) and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), two pathways for the clearance of fluid and solutes in the brain are proposed. Starting at the level of capillaries, flow of ISF follows along the basement membranes in the walls of cerebral arteries out of the parenchyma to drain into the lymphatics and CSF [1]–[3]. Conversely, it is shown that CSF enters the parenchyma between glial and pial basement membranes of penetrating arteries [4]–[6]. Nevertheless, the involved structures and the contribution of either flow pathway to fluid balance between the subarachnoid space and interstitial space remains controversial. Low frequency oscillations in vascular tone are referred to as vasomotion and corresponding vasomotion waves are modeled as the driving force for flow of ISF out of the parenchyma [7]. Retinal vessel analysis (RVA) allows non-invasive measurement of retinal vessel vasomotion with respect to diameter changes [8]. Thus, the aim of the study is to investigate vasomotion in RVA signals of SAH and PHH patients.

N2  - Das vorgestellte System zu Wireless CAN bietet die Möglichkeit, CAN kabellos zu übertragen. Beide vorgestellten und entwickelten Konzepte funktionieren korrekt und ermöglichen den Auf-bau von kabellosen CAN Schnittstellen. Durch den kleinen Aufbau kann diese Technologie auch für eingebettete Systeme verwendet werden. Zudem bietet dieser Ansatz die Möglichkeit, durch die Entwicklung von geeigneten ICs die Größe des Systems bis auf Bauteilgröße zu reduzieren, um eine noch bessere Integration in eingebettete Systeme zu ermöglichen. Dadurch wird die Technologie attraktiv für Einsatzgebiete, wo die oben aufgelisteten Vorteile zum Tragen kommen können. Diese Einsatzgebiete können sowohl im Automobil als auch im Industriebereich liegen.

N2  - Obwohl es eine Vielzahl von Einführungskonzepten für ITSM gibt, hat sich bisher keines dieser Konzepte auf breiter Linie durchgesetzt. Das gilt in erhöhtem Maße für ITSM-Einführungskonzepte für KMU, wohl nicht zuletzt aufgrund der Tatsache, dass der Mehrwert von ITSM für KMU aufgrund der geringeren Größe der IT-Organisationen nur entsprechend schwieriger generiert werden kann.
Mit diesem Beitrag wird ein Einführungskonzept für ITSM in KMU systematisch hergeleitet. Dafür wurden zunächst die Treiber und Barrieren von ITSM untersucht, um daraus ein umfassendes Wirkmodell zu entwickeln. Da mit diesem Wirkungsmodell die Einflussfaktoren auf den Erfolg von ITSM in KMU deutlich werden, konnte auf dieser Basis ein Einführungskonzept abgeleitet werden, welches insbesondere die positiven Effekte unterstützt bzw.
verstärkt.

N2  - This paper presents an approach for reducing the cognitive load for humans working in quality control (QC) for production processes that adhere to the 6σ -methodology. While 100% QC requires every part to be inspected, this task can be reduced when a human-in-the-loop QC process gets supported by an anomaly detection system that only presents those parts for manual inspection that have a significant likelihood of being defective. This approach shows good results when applied to image-based QC for metal textile products.
